Bomber Crew

I stumbled over a little gem called Bomber Crew this weekend.  Very much in the same vein as FTL, you manage a crew of a WW2 bomber.   The base game has you in a British Lancaster while the USAAF DLC puts you in a B-17.

Like FTL the game is very hard and unforgiving.  It also requires a lot of micro management at the start.  But some of these tasks can be mitigated by Crew skills and equipment upgrades as you gain experience.

I want to stress Bomber Crew is a game and not a sim.  Some odd stuff goes on like the bomber turning like a boat and not a plane.  The flight engineer will crawl out on the wing in mid-flight to fix issues and the bomber lands in a particularly cringy way at the end of missions.  Also the B-17 co-pilot is missing and parachutes for each crew member take many equipment upgrades.

But all in all a good purchase.
