Okay, I don't play many rpgs. That's only because I've only found a few that can hold my interest to level 5. But, as a female, I am eerily drawn to uber-cute fairy shit. But is this game too gay? I need something new to chew on for awhile, and am thinking of giving it a try. Has anyone fucked around with it? Feedback, please!
And please don't pummel me with bullshit just because the rpg is not my gaming mode of choice! I've heard it all already. Thanks!

Have you seen Ragnarok Online? This looks like pretty much the same thing...
Gameplay is what matters, if this game has some amazing new ideas, good combat/interface, open pvp and a minimal grind and is fun let me know I'll play it.

Thanks, Mr. Hat! Yeah, I'm pretty much hoping I can have some really violent, fairy-on-mermaid action and tear some shit up. I think I'll go ahead and check it out (again - a bitch can't resist a fairy), and maybe I'll post a review.

Probably a good thing then because otherwise those screenshots looks like it would turn your outie into an innie.

There were a couple things that concerned me in looking over the site and related materials. One was that while pets and other game elements seem to crop up in all the reviews and faqs, there is nothing mentioned about PvP, although the game web page does mention PK elements in several places. Maybe the Asian market just has a default standard for PvP, or maybe these references were old data. Couldn't tell. The second was a barrier on the reg page, where they asked for info I either don't have (passport/ID number - the game is based in Malaysia) or they aren't gonna get (Home Phone number). Third was that while most folks implied that this was free, it didn't look like that to me. This may be a holdover from the recently (beginning of March) ended beta, or it may reference what looked like a free trial, in which you get 100 'units' of playtime free. There was also a newbie package of 100 units for a couple of bucks, and larger packages of many more 'units' plus some expendable items for various prices. I didn't do the exchange rate on those. English quality ranges from not bad to utterly incomprehensible, depending on the page you hit. I cruised the message boards, where I learned that the Wood Whale is not in the game yet. They publically ban dupers. Here is the game home page.

You could play the American version instead, you know. Site doesn't work for me in Opera, though.

Yeah, we could make a f13 FairyLand guild, heh.
BTW, the first link to the Asian-version site had a pic of a "Player of the Day". I started laughing so hard from it I had to close it out before my coworkers go suspicious.

Great idea. Who will be the guild's head fairy? Not me... I don't like getting my knees dirty. I suggest schild. He'll last 7 minutes... just about the time it'll take for me to lose interest in this cutesy game and wander off.

I think we should most definately make a griefer fairyland guild, when I see innocence on the net I find the urge to curb stomp it out of existence.

Yeah, the only thing better than fairies is giving fairies a boot party! Anybody else constantly wanna smoke Navi on Ocarina of Time for her incessant "Hey!!!!" and "Look!!!!!"? Anyways, the boyfriendster and I tried to get that shit up last night and had some issues. Actually he worked on it while I sat and played something else. We (sadly; poserly) have dial-up, which might be part of the problem? And the disk I burned the patch onto made his puter very, very angry. I have a 1999 iMac, so obviously I can't use mine. We could call our guild Queers Bash Back just to confuse the hell out of everyone. Oh! Can I make the Player of the Day my pet? His Engrish is so cute! http://www.fairyland.com.my/playeroftheday/potd.htm

Yeah, sadly the American site is just cute (not cute in that "aww...they can't talk right!" kinda way, just the regular, insipid girly shit that I secretly love). Speaking of insipid girl shit, would someone PLEASE make a Deery Lou game?! http://www.sanrio.com/main/whatsnew/designs/feb04/deery.htmlAnd NOT a hunting game, as you all will suggest. Can't they make games that are adorable and challenging?

Ever been to Korea? It is the land of mothers putting lipstick on their young sons to have their pictures taken and little boys wearing frilly socks. None of this is seen as especially effeminate. It is indeed a different world.

Is there some kind of strange, Asian strain of Tourette's Syndrome that causes one to just insert random numerals into text at absolutely inappropriate places? I thought math was the universal language. And why does that write-up sound like it should end with "I want much very to meet husband American to have big funz with and green card so move can I to Los Angeles!" Only with more numbers.

I don't recall anything like that, but I do have memories of mothers trying to pimp their daughters out to me, or occasionally being tear gassed if I wandered too close to wherever the students were rioting. Of course, that was twenty-odd years ago. MMORPGS (and their damage to the Korean collective psyche) didn't exist then...

I tried to just quote a chunk but had trubs. I apparently can't just move the little box that has the word "quote" in it and put it wherever the hell I want? Edit: oh, but thanks for fixing it Paelos!

BBCode nublet. [ quote]<insert quote here>[ /quote] If you take away the spaces between the "["s and "]"s you get: <insert quote here> Basically, the "[ quote]" starts the quote, and the "[ /quote] ends the quote.
