It's rare that an artist remains relevant throughout their entire career and continues to create great work from beginning to end.  Leonard Cohen just released one of his greatest albums three weeks ago at the age of 82.  I loved his music and I'll miss him.  2016 sucks.

A better poet than Dylan ever was and another one who's music has been part of my life forever.  Heartbreak

Fuck, I already was on the verge of ending this shitty week with a Cohen marathon starting with the all too topical "Everybody knows". Now I'll also have to mourn the man himself.

Quote
Everybody knows that the dice are loaded
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed
Everybody knows the war is over
Everybody knows the good guys lost
Everybody knows the fight was fixed
The poor stay poor, the rich get rich
That's how it goes
Everybody knows
Everybody knows that the boat is leaking
Everybody knows that the captain lied
Everybody got this broken feeling
Like their father or their dog just died

Fuck 2016, indeed.

As convoluted as it sounds while Leonard Cohen was never among my favorite singers his "Songs of Love and Hate" album is still one of my all-time favorite albums.

Listened to that for the first time this morning and it has the same "Goodbye" vibe as Bowie's Black Star.

Why are you fuckers tempting fate in this year of all years??!? Just be quiet and maybe we can get out of this year without another big name dying.

This seems appropriate right now. A Leonard Cohen poem about recognizing fascism.

ALL THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT ADOLPH EICHMANN

HAIR ...................................................... Medium
WEIGHT .................................................. Medium
HEIGHT ................................................... Medium
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES ...................... None

What did you expect?
Talons?
Oversize Incisors?
Green saliva?
Madness?
