Just saw Suburra - good and I enjoyed it fully. It's made by the director behind "Gomorrah" (Modern day view of the Italian underworld).

It's brutally violent as it explores the depths of the seven vices in the modern political setting of Rome, where no individual remains untainted. Then again no one is without their good sides as well. It's basically a political / mob thriller sprinkled with bloodiness and hedonism én mass. Some might say it is too intense and dark in it's view of human agency. Maybe. On the other hand it's fascinating and gripping in it's devotion too cynicism in a way that made me feel uncomfortable.

It has some stylistic elements that resembles "The Neon Demon", e.g. in it's extreme hedonistic sex scene, where raw lust, luring colors and indulging tones combined and made me feel dirty and intrigued at the same time. In many ways I think it was better than Neon Demon here in its depiction of people, who seek their wildest dreams ends up deprived and debauched and their lives consequentially tumbles into uncontrollable nightmares.

The music is really good actually, especially if you like M83 and their synth ambiance style.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZh_IVW5CdY&index=2&list=PL4X7m8GF3ZekhVd0C2oY3wH9oDGN6vlgR

Check it out.
