Molten Core can thankfully be ignored by all but the hardest core catasses. It's pretty useless all told. Having uber epic gear wont matter much for PvP, and if you are getting the epics for the sake of the epics, well then you're just retarded. |

I would have to disagree there. Have you actually looked at some of the stuff that drops in MC. Completely disregarding the Class Specific Armor Sets (which are not all that hot for PVP), most of the best weapons/accessories in the game drop in either MC or Onyxia. You also HAVE to do MC to complete the Priest ( Benediction, Anathema) or Hunter ( Staff, Bow) Epic Class Weapons. And please, by all means, tell me that something like Anathema or that Bow wont be a decent advantage in PVP. Really, MC is no longer exclusively the domain of the Hardcore catasses. Hell, it isnt really even "Catassable" any more for the Hardcore Guilds, since most hardcore guilds can do the entire thing up to Rag (and if they are doing good, Rag as well) in around 6-7 hours. Since MC is on a 6 DAY reset timer, that means most guilds who are MC capable do it in 2 chunks of 3-4 hours each and have the other 4 days to fuck around with whatever else tickles their fancy. |

The Twelve Prophets have just recently done a full MC clear in under 3 hours. It's hard to catass when you can do everything in 3-4 hours...

Yeah, i heard about that. I still find it VERY VERY hard to believe they could do a full MC clear in under 3 hours. They would need to be fucking robots or something to work THAT smoothly.
Lucifron / Magmadar - Backtrack and clear to - Ghennas / Gaar / Geddon / Shazzra / Sulfuron / Golemag / Domo / Rag
Thats 10 boss fights over 3 hours (or 18 minutes per boss) factor in time to clear trash mobs over the entire instance would amount to at least 30 minutes or more, and you are approaching 14 or so minutes per boss fight.
Fucking robots i tell you.

Yeah, I'm sure MC is easy...
... once you spend 2-3 weeks 'learning' [aka wiping over and over to] the instance, have a ton of epics from MC already and dream of MC trash mobs in your sleep.
And then you get to do it all over again with BWL [after you geared all 50+ of your raiders up in FULL mc gear]. And then [tier 3 raid instance]. And so on, all the way to tier 9.
F that noise. Maybe my guild'll try that 20-man Gurubashi or something, but screw MC.

Calling my guild an uber guild was a little tongue-in-cheek, and the post mostly satirical. We got ahead of everyone in raiding and all of a sudden certain people start busting their gut to worship and/or flame us. We slowly embraced the hate and fanned the flames for kicks and giggles (and annoyance, they just assume we are a certain way, so we figured why not act it) so we get much more hate than the other now. Everyone thinks we are a bunch of elitist jerks who think we are such hot shit. From the inside looking out it is very amusing because we're just a bunch of goof-offs raiding to amuse ourselves and get geared up. We all do some of the silliest shit like back into mobs, pull when not everyone is ready, or forget to heal the main tank because we were too busy talking crap in /g. Best part is we are on good terms with the other big horde guild despite everyone thinking otherwise due to interactions on the forums. [/i] That's almost a perfect description of our guild, and our situation, too. We also have the delight of seeing other, smaller guilds working full-time at making up rumors and flaming us with level 1 alts. It was rather amusing to see the level of their animosity when a crazy ex-member of one of these guilds uploaded the entire contents of their private forums onto the public realm forums for all to see. I think they dislike us mostly because we hog the Kazurgos spawn. Anyways, guild drama is shamefully interesting, so long as you don't act like an idiot- the idiot watching is the fun part It definitively beats farming mob_294 in rocky_zone_3. It's a different kind of experience indeed, the high-end drama/raiding in comparison to the casual playstyle. But, considering that you're all experienced forum/drama geek warriors yourselves, I can hardly see any grounds for self-righteous indignation. |

I believe I'm more tickled by the fact that uber-guilds can trip over each other's instances than any of the drama. I mean, it's fucking instancing. It's meant to keep shit like rotation calendars and kill-stealing from being possible. As fun as WoW can be, Blizzard trips over their dicks constantly.

Thier are five high-end raid guilds on alliance (2 have beaten rag) 2 more might be raiding guilds but i havent heard of them killing kazzak. Horde side thier are 4, 3 stuck on rag, 1 on domo. ALL of these guilds have many alts that stay logged @ Kazzak's spawn, complete with warlocks to start the summon chain. Assuming you are the first to spot him, the margin of time you have to mobalize and assault him is extremely small. |

Kazzak and Azuregos are almost impossible for us because the vast majority of our players only have a few hours in the afternoons to play on weekdays. Basically we aren't quite catass enough to be able to take bosses whenever we like. The 2 spawns are taken by Evolved almost every time because they essentially host pickup raids and so can hit them up whenever they spawn.

Why does it matter in an online game if you're gay IRL? Isn't that one of the few places where we can check ourselves and our outside prejudices at the door? Would they have even known you are gay/minority/etc unless you made it a mission to let others know? Personally, I don't care, I don't want to know, and frankly the game is better without that knowledge in any form. |
