Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something.  We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail

One week got Lemmy, Bowie and Rickman.

This has been a terrible week.

That's so strange; I saw an image the other day someone shared of his quotes regarding Harry Potter books. He really liked them and I wondered if those quotes were attributed to him or not.

Strangest movie I saw him in: Closet Land.

Someone on Reddit pointed out that Tim Curry is 69. Is there a celebrity cancer database anywhere?

Gutted by this one. Even more than Bowie. Rickman was uniformly excellent in everything he did. He played a lot of villains, but they were always so interesting and nuanced that I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. Extremely sad and angry that he is gone and we are robbed of anything he would have done in the future. Fuck cancer.

Considering I just watched the CBGB film starring Rickman, I would absolutely buy into that theory.

He was a very fine actor. His voice was so idiosyncratic... I really want to find anything (poetry) read by him.  Sad.

The BBC made a dramatisation of a narrative poem called The Song of Lunch. Rickman narrates and acts in it along with Emma Thompson. It's really good.

Speaking of voice work, here's probably the last thing he did. Narration over a tortoise eating a strawberry.
