EDIT: As for this movie, it looks hilariously stupid horror fun.

Saw this a few weeks back and it was great. No gore, not overly-serious, no stupid ass jump scares. It was a holiday horror movie that took itself as seriously as Gremlins and hit every note just about perfectly.
