Have you cleared all the 50-60 elite dungeons?

I really hate this Celes event.  I just can't be bothered to spend stamina 4 at a time anymore, even if the flans drop crazy xp.   Back to Elites  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

Lots of updates lately. Rinoa event plus new I, II, VIII and XIII content. Got Rinoa, Snow and Warrior of Light so far; WoL is actually classified as FFI instead of Core so at least he gets a synergy bonus. Up to 80 Stamina with plenty of normal and all the new elite content left to clear; finally feels like I can play a bit whenever I jump on at full energy.

The Rinoa event was terrible and I actually quit for like a week after it.  It made me realize that a hard version of this game is really not what I want.  The mindless phone game is more up my alley.

Anyways now I'm way behind and am catching back up.  Finally finished the Vanille event today and am slowly catching up on the new zones but I still have a long way to go.  I hope they actually slow down or repeat an event at some point so I can make better progress.  There's just too much to do without playing constantly at the rate they put stuff out.

Also I'm not sure how you're supposed to level more characters if everything keeps coming out with heroic versions, even my top level team struggles in the heroic mode so there's no room for sub max characters.

The game is just too painful to play for extended periods unless you are just Autoing.

Getting word that a recent update has addressed a bit of the UI issues. Anyone still playing that can confirm?

The only UI changed I've noticed recently is in the Event missions that have turn ins it'll remember your last position.

They also show you boss weaknesses and score conditions before you enter the dungeon.

Well the update from this morning just changed a whole mess of things. I thought luckton was referring to the changes before that.

Being able to see the boss info in-game and having optimize take record synergy into account are great updates.  The not losing your scroll position on crystal turn-ins was nice too.  Upgrading gear is still a hot mess.

The new friend system made me realize how powerful some of the 5* character weapons are.  Really wish I would have rolled for Vanille or Rinoas 5* weapon now.  I ended up with Lenna's which is pretty terrible.  Instead of spending it I maxed out my item box and now am sitting on over 100 mithril.  Guess I'll wait for the next OP weapon and just roll on it.

Also if you haven't tried it, don't pick Joseph with Noble Sacrifice for your friend.  I thought it would work but it ends up killing whomever summoned the friend.  Pretty lame.

If anybody needs Cloud with his Buster sword and Braver for that sweet sweet 9999* damage feel free to friend me: eMuf

* Your damage may vary -- you'll only get 9999 damage on weaker foes and most bosses you would want to use Braver on will just laugh at your feeble damage, in fact forget I every mentioned the 9999 damage part

Well I just blew a ton of Mithril trying to get Sephiroth or Red XIII's weapon and got neither.  Kind of disappointing.  Think I'm at the point now where I'm ready to sell anything that's 1* combined or otherwise.  Just no space.

Fallout seems like the kind of thing I'm going to be bored with in a couple weeks.  Unless they are planning on updating it regularly or adding some more mechanics in some way.

Yeah I don't know what the actual odds are but my relic draw rate feels horrible with only 2 so far after like 70+ draws including a bunch during the increased relics drops week. Fortunately my first one which I got in my very first 10+1 draw was Cloud's Buster sword so that enabled me to get past a lot of content I wouldn't have been able to otherwise.

I've found a lot of 5* items but none of them have been character specific good ones.

Yeah I have a few of those gold orb 5* ones too. I was referring to the rainbow orb character-specific relics.

I thought gold orb meant 4*, and rainbow was always 5*? Stuff like the Genji Helm/Armor, Zantetsuken, Golden Spear, etc.

The first 5* draw I got was Dark Knight Cecil's sword, which is pretty rad.   Then during the whole boosted drop chance event, I probably did 30+ draws and only got a 5* piece of armor that casts shell.  Whoop-de-friggin-doo.  I've since lost interest completely.

The damage sponge design of the elite bosses kind of ruined it for me as well.  I just don't like having to input in this game.  I don't mind hitting auto and watching the numbers fly by.  It's great when you've got to poop.

I'd like this game better as some variety of "my life as king".  Right now it's just a little dry and lacking any real charm.

I just wish it ran a little faster/less clunky; having to swap abilities to hit boss weaknesses is such a pain since Optimize doesn't take boss weaknesses into consideration. Optimize also gears Celes really strangely (gives her melee gear but spells instead of attack skills) so I never use her.

Gold are definitely 4* and Rainbow are 5*.

I agree on the elite bosses.  The only ones I finished all of them were for the Tidus event and it wasn't fun at all and took me tons of tries.   Now I've just been doing the elites up to like the last 2 or so stages and then forget it.

Also releasing a character (or multiple) then putting a requirement on the the final elite boss to have them not die is a bad pattern to follow.  It basically forces you to level them up to 50 in a week.

There's really nothing interesting to do in Fallout Shelter.  It's an ant farm where the ants don't do anything.

So I started the new Knight path event and the intro said to use physical skills to beat the event.  So I spent a few minutes making a pure physical team with a healer support.  So I start it up and both the second and third bosses both require you to use ranged magic to get full points.  swamp poop   Edit: And then I realized that the button at the top isn't the path your in, it's the button to take you to the other path so I was actually in the magic dungeon.  So yeah, oops.

I do want to complete this event though because Shellga would be REALLY handy on some of the harder magic based bosses.

I'm also closing in on 200 mithril again so when Lightning hopefully releases next event I *WILL* get her 5*. Probably.

Wait, how do you increase chances for stuff?  I mean, other than saving up 50 mithril so you can get one god damn extra relic roll, is there any other way to influence things?

When you click on the Relic screen there are 'banners'.  One being the common draw and then at least one other banner.   The banners usually change weekly but there have been times when they've run a few at once.  Once you click the banner there are some armor/weapons at the top you can scroll through.  Pulling from that banner has a much higher chance of pulling one of the weapons listed up top than 'normal'.  So if you were to pull right now you'd have a much higher chance of getting Tifa's Crystal Glove or a Wizard Bracelet, etc.

The banner coming up later this week has weapons for Lightning and Sahz as well as a dagger that is pretty good for some of the odd characters like Wakka or Sep (if you don't have a katana).
