I expect that there will be some kind of floor built into their pricing algorithm.
Yes I would expect Blizzard's algorithm has both floors and ceilings for how much the price can change in a certain time period.

On Korgath, the price opened at 30,000g and it is now at 31,218g four hours later. Predictions on it going up or down in a month?

And right now, a day later, it is 21,307g.

Yeah it's totally not the AH, even though it's sold through the AH. I sold one for 31,215 as the gold was in my mail when I got home today. The current listing is 21,094 so it made 10k gold to make up for that.

If i remember correctly,  the price you list it at is the price YOU get for it when someone else buys it, even if the purchase price goes down between the time when you  list your token and someone buys it.  Not sure if it works in reverse (ie, if you list one  at 20k and the price  goes up before someone buys yours, do you only get 20k, or do you get the increased price).

The price went back up to 24,000 or so earlier this week, but when I just checked it (Sunday noonish pacific time) it's at 21,928.

Yeah looks like it's never going to hit 30k again. Amusing.

I'm still not sure how this thing works but obviously it's not what I was thinking.

Well, you can't speculate - i.e., buy tokens for gold and then resell them. I think that has something to do with the surprising price drop. (At least, surprising to me).

Why can't you speculate? Are they not resellable?

When you buy them for gold, they become soulbound to you.

Yep, the only speculation you can do is, "If I wait until <day> the market typically peaks/nadirs so I can get/save more gold"  Then you purchase for whatever side you were going for.
