The first ep of Backstrom was a pretty good pastiche of nordic noir but I am a bit worried of how they will develop the show beyond that (since the "joke" will get old pretty quick the way they are almost parodying it). It just doesn't have the "realistic bleakness" the real nordic noir has (or atleast what I feel it should have).

So this is just House M.D., but swap the M.D. with Detective? That is what I got from the previews anyway.

Then again, I don't watch TV anyway so I'll just move on.

What do you do with your TV if you don't watch it.  No.  Never mind.  I don't want to know.

Yeah, I got the whole "House, M.D." vibe from it, too.  Which made me basically not want to watch it.

But... but ... Dwight Shrute already came out and said his character wasn't just like House.  And, of course, having someone deny something before people start making accusations is always a sign of innocence...

I loved House's early seasons.  I watched the Office.  I enjoy Sherlock and Elementary.  But, when you put them all together in this package, I see nothing worth watching.

2020 will be the year I gave up all hope.

The second episode wasn't really anything special in my opinion and for the most part the feeling was that of a mediocre American police show rather than that of Leif G. W. Persson's books.  Ohhhhh, I see.

I watched the first one. Then I removed it from my Tivo and took it off the schedule. It wasn't bad, but it felt like it was trying too hard. The Buddhist forensic guy was especially annoying. Everything else was just meh. It felt like the pieces were probably very funny on paper but something about translation to the big screen drained all the funny out of it.

My wife gave me the look of shame when I watched it.  This tells me I should only watch it when no one is around and when asked don't even admit I am aware the show exists.

Episode 3 turned out to be a below mediocre comedy and made me almost want to re-watch the first episode to see if it really was anything like I remember since I can't see any of it in the latest episode.  swamp poop

I saw the first episode because it's Dwight, you know?  I can't watch any more, though, because it's terrible.  I can't even think of a way they could fix it because all of it is bad.  :(  Poor Dwight.
