Penny Marshall died...  Heartbreak

This hits home as Laverne and Shirley was my mother's favorite show when I was a kid... not to mention my mother is about the same age.

And now Super Dave Osbourne.

I grew up watching him repeatedly blow himself up on Bizarre. Was also 76.

To this day I legit use "Balloon Ball. Balloon Ball." (somewhat ironically) when I want to psyche myself up. Legend.

Alas, he lived 96 years to long.

Certainly the first thing everyone in the world should be trying to do now is to forget he ever existed. A teeny little pimple on the ass of 20th Century US history.

Katherine Helmond dead at 89.

The last thing I remember seeing her in was Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, but it seems she was pretty busy all the way to the end.

Never was a fan of Keith but really enjoyed the Prodigy. Still sad since he definitely had a presence and pushed the group into the spotlight more than they were probably going without him.

Every time I see this thread pop up in the new posts list, I dread opening it for fear Ms. White's name will be here.

After today though... I am becoming acutely aware that these guys are only a few years older than me and that this is only going to get more common.

61 is not a bad age for a guy who was A) a wrestler, and B) very large.  And by large I mean fat.

I don’t say that in spite, but rather good for him for even making it that far.  And bad for me for another piece of my childhood dying.
