Found this earlier while browsing the Elite: Dangerous forums. There's an application you run on your PC and a companion app (Android & iOS available) for you mobile phone or tablet. There's a bunch of preconfigured grids already with it for things like PC volume control, social media notifications, TeamSpeak integration, Windows control, etc. There's also a whole load of user-designed grids for various games and things on the Roccat website.
It works really well and I can see it being incredibly useful for loads of games. You're currently restricted to portrait format only for the grids and you can only have a certain number of tabs available at once before it asks for money for more, but you get enough IMO for free.
Pretty cool little app all in all.

It's basically just a way to use your mobile device as an extra controller or mini-keyboard with the custom buttons and appearance of your own choice.
I haven't used it in Elite yet. I do have a HOTAS with about a billion buttons on it so I don't really need to, but I could see how it could be useful if you had a less ridiculous joystick. It's also the kind of thing I could see appealing to the kind of people who buy external MFD's for flight sims etc.
Would be particularly interesting if they improve the software to the point when you could send more data to the mobile, like maps etc.
