I just....this show seems too beautiful to live but the trailer holds so much promise.

We'll just have to wait and see if it's the next Glee or the next Cop Rock.

Vinnie Jones in a song and dance number?  awesome, for real  It's worth that much, at least.

Forget it, let's not go to Camelot. It's a silly place anyway.

Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something.  We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail

It is definitely relevant, although the branding is obnoxious, because this looks like an attempt at a live-action version of a Disney animation.

No other thread has the network in the title; no point unless there are multiple shows with the same name.

I only made it through a minute of the trailer.  Holy hell, that is annoying.  This will get cancelled quick.

How do you get disney out of this?  I get that people see singing and immediately tune out but the subject matter seems much more python in tone than anything else.

Probably because the composer did a ton of Disney animated movies.

There does seem to be a few Disney names attached to it but it certainly feels less like a "Disney" show and more like a Robin Hood men in tights type deal.  I can't write it off yet based on having music, not when it's got a king like that in it.

Worst case scenario it's on par with enchanted and is be ok with that.

I had no idea who was involved, my reaction was purely from watching the clip. It just jumped right out at me that this was a Disney animation that wasn't animated. After that I noticed the ABC connection.

It's mainly the the type of humor (physical, character-based, broad, toying with fairytale cliches) in that setting, and adding in musical numbers seals the deal. Plus the villain is over-the-top charismatic and entertaining, also typical. Much more so than what I saw from the hero in the clip, unfortunately. Ideally for this he'd be a Bruce Campbell, but he didn't seem very interesting.

So this trailer quickly went from a non-funny Men In Tights tv show, to Fuck Yeah! Vinnie Jones is in it, straight to when will this shitty Disney musical end? Although the youtube video did have a link to Black-ish, and that looked funny. So I guess it wasn't all bad visiting that trailer link.

It was a bit uneven - and for a musical, I didn't walk away singing any of the tunes.  I will end up rewatching the first hour when the wife watches it, and don't hate the idea of doing so, but it wasn't amazing.  Just ok.

It wasn't a musical Pushing Daisies, but it was generally amusing and that's enough.

I fully agree with all of that.  For me, I think my expectations were a bit high going in so that colored it.

It made me smile a lot and even laugh a couple of times, so I'll count it as good enough. It's just one long series of low-brow jokes, some of them in lyrical form. Monty Python meets Disney is the general feel of it.

I'll have to power through the musical bits because they are really not good performancewise, but the rest I find hilarious. For some reason I completely lost it during the jousting match.

This, so far, seems to be one of those shows that you can really enjoy for the silly thing it is *if* you're willing to overlook the bad mixing on the music, a bit of questionable acting choices, and set design that is far from immersive.

Just watched the first two episodes and for whatever reason that scene had me absolutely howling. Haven't laughed that hard in ages.

I just started watching this, and I love the premise, though the actual jokes are kind of... just serious lines delivered in a comedic way, if that makes sense. It's still fun though, and I'm gonna keep watching.
