I really like Stephen Merchant and I hope he can carry a show, too. I love the way he and Ricky Gervais use uncomfortable humour that you actually imagine seeing and how it makes you cringe and laugh at the same time. I don't watch a lot of sitcoms but I'm pulling for this one.

Watched this last night and hated it. My wife hated it as well. Wasn't really funny, wasn't really witty. Just awkward. Might give it one more shot next week, but overall... 2 thumbs down.
