Rules so far.
-DC characters are quite powerful, esp Sentry and Flash.
-Chrono Trigger is terrible.
-Almost always bet on tiny hitboxes there are some exceptions.
-Marvel cast is mainly as powerful as they were in their games, with exceptions so far I've seen Blackheart be especially awesome.
-Don't always bet on swords, swords aren't special.
-Anime is very uneven, Melty is pretty powerful as a rule but so far I haven't figured out any other patterns.
-DBZ is across the board awful, except a couple of individual/real versions, GT of some characters.
-MSPaints are either god tier or shit tier, its rough picking those matchups.
-Naruto cast esp -kun versions are fairly average, they can win but not against strong opponents.
-JoJo cast is around Naruto-tier maybe a little bit higher, haven't seen enough of them.
-GG cast seems to be one of the stronger balanced sets.
-KoF?
-Capcom?

This is what I've been using - I think I win at least as often as I lose, though still not nearly enough to beat the odds and get me out of the mines:
S-tier: girls with wings, HUGE hitboxes
A-tier: other fliers; girls with swords; robots; black versions of established characters
B-tier: typical fighting-game looking dudes, ordered by art: actual fighting game sprites > spritesheets from other games > c/p from a cartoon or something
C-tier: small hitboxes; non-flying girls without martial weapons
fuck this shit tier: MSPaint and DBZ characters are universally shit but cheese their way to a win as often as not (a billion health, 1-hit ko laser)
