Yup. I ended up dumping a pile of random steam items on the market then turning the proceeds around to fill in the gaps, combined with cards obtained via finishing a bunch of collections and so on. Most cards seem to be going for 10-20 cents so selling some to buy others ended up being less hassle than figuring out trades. If the trade UI allowed people to indicate what they want and what they're willing to trade I think it'd be massively more useful than it is. |

With foil cards. The foil snow globe cards are going from ~$2 on the marketplace so you'd be looking at around $20 to craft a foil badge for the Winter sale (which gets you 5 of the crafted items). Edit: You could craft a regular badge for around $2 so if ones' goal was to gamble for items that would be the more cost effective way to do it. |

There are, but they're super rare or I'm unlucky. I'd say rare since you don't know about them and I've only gotten one.
Last time I checked, any time a card is generated there is a 1% chance it is a foil. |

I just got my first foil from this day's vote. I didn't know the foil badge gave you more items; might have to try and craft it now.
Also I've got an extra #10, could use 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, or 9 towards my second badge.
