So I picked up this for 2.5mil and added the ruby for 750k (3.25mil total):

Closest I found was going for 600 mil.

Yo, Paelos, what's this worth?

Good ring, you see a lot of them with the big 3 stats, but rarely with a main stat as well. Add in the socket and you've got a good ring.

Downsides, crit hit chance is max 6.0 for rings, 50% for crit damage, and 9% for AS. You lost value every time one of those stats isn't a max.

My gut says 600M is absurd because it has no capped stat. That's not to say you can't try, but my guess would be to look at what rings are going for without the socket, and than add on 25% to that value.

Is there a place to find out what the max stats are for things?

Thank you.

Wow. Those stats are so much higher than anything I have!

My barbarian is in MP 4 right now; I've tried acts I and II in public games. It works as long as I don't end up with a waller/frozen/pools of goo mob (that might have been 2 different mobs with those powers; I died too fast to make sure).

After some research, I think it's about 10-30M for that ring. I think if you bought it for 2.5 then 10M is a good turn. I always look at 4x as my target on a flip on the lower end.

I spent a few million tops on gear. Most of it was picked up super cheap from auctions that were just about to end. I've been soloing and in public games on mp4; haven't tried mp5 yet but I think it might be too much of a slog until I upgrade.

A crit damage 80%+ amulet will go a long way to increasing damage, and a good one shouldn't cost more than a million max.

Not sure I'd pay shit for that ring.

That, on the other hand, is rather awesome.  My Barb Survival is not even in question, even on inferno, due to the amount I'm getting back.  (and yes, I know about the reduction and whatnot, but it's still rather amazeballs.)

Giving it a day at 300mil (doubtful).

I'll put it back up at like 50 mil just to get some gold.

Let me know what it goes for in the end. I've had similar things in the market before and I like to keep tabs on it.

I don't think he'll get 300M. I think 10M is likely, but we'll see.

We would appear to be really, really tight and cheap on the Euro AH.

It's also possible that the gold dupe didn't hit your side as hard.

So that's why things are either 5 million or 500 million?

Sort of, but I think it is just as much that as people have geared up and as more gold has entered the economy it means the very highest end stuff is desirable, and anything but that becomes increasingly useless to many people.

Mempo of Twilight is a good item to demonstrate this.  There was a time when any old Mempo was worth a ton.  But as more people found "bad" Mempos (statistically speaking most found will be "bad"), the price of those went down as pretty much everyone who wanted one got one, and only those with crit chance remained really desirable, so now you get get a bad mempo for dirt cheap, or one with crit chance for an absurd amount.

It is a side effect of the "Nothing matters but main stat/attack speed/crit chance/crit damage" thing that we've all been talking about in here.   As people gear up those stats there is a smaller and smaller percentage of items that rolled those stats well enough to be an upgrade, leaving other items as essentially worthless to them.   The ring in this thread is another good example.  A year ago any "Trifecta" ring was amazing. Nowadays this ring isn't as special because it didn't roll near the max on the stats.

The gold dupe may have made the high end items a little more extremely priced, but it was headed in this direction regardless.

I'd like some comparison prices for the RMAH.  What's that like across servers ?

Things are moving pretty fast.

The reason that ring sold good is not that it was a better than expected ring but to get a ring even slightly better costs several hundred million gold.

That's where my barbarian is right now. I have the best equipment I can afford, and anything a little better costs hundreds of millions of gold that I don't have. I can run MP5 reliably.

Starting to look over at my WD and Wiz, although I have not taken my DH or Monk through Inferno yet.

The Barb is just so much fun though, it's hard to not just play her. Hulk smash!
