Batman's song in it's entirety.

God, all the critics(8 I think) shitting on this movie come off as such pretentious dicks, I mean...this song alone.

6. And yeah, especially the reviewer who saw this movie as "cynical". This is one of the most infectiously positive movies I've ever seen.

One of the best movies (not just kids movie, movie) I've seen in a while.  Really, really well done and the Lego details are amazing.

Kids loved it. I loved the 'lego' look. I hate to say it (and I'm not sure if it was because I have a cold from hell and my bladder has turned into the size of a pea) but did the ending go on for like 15 minutes too long?

Outside of that ....Everything is awesome.

That song is still stuck in my head 6 hours later.

I'm 50/50 on the spoiler because considering all the other talent in the movie it's possible but I'd have to listen again to be sure.

I was surprised by Offerman. I think he has a future as a voice guy beyond just his "name" recognition as I didn't even realize it was him.  BTW, I looked it up and answered in an edit up there.

I was utterly convinced it was him until the credits.  I should have known better given the scope of his emotions are hate/ mild irritation for it.

Lol I know right? We just got back. My wife and I think this is the Frozen for boys. It's basically a genderless pic of course, but this will be on non-stop for months if you have sons smiley

This was a fantastic film. I don't know who could find stuff wrong with it. It's not even anti-corporate because of how it all wraps up. I mean, even the parts they make fun of about corporate life are the very things the suits and ties make fun of themselves.

It's the ultimate everyman movie.

My daughter is literally singing a song that alternates lines between 'Everything is awesome' and 'Do you want to build a snowman'

I think we are going to build an awesome lego snowman soon.

This is awesome.

Also every other film we bitch about here could learn a lot about pace and editing from this movie.

Ok, saw this tonight and Elena liked it lots.

I'm not sure.  Some bits cracked me up and the voice and characters were cool and all, but I dunno.  I really didn't like the IRL stuff (why, yes, thank you, I understand that was the point of the movie) and I dunno, it didn't really...set me on fire.

Spaceship bit was gigglesome tho.

Sorry.

If it helps, there are movies I like.  I'm not like this huge negativity beast of whatever.

And I missed Frozen, which Elena and Wife tell me was super.

The real life part was dreadful and I don't really understand who it was even aimed at.

Frozen was good, but I doubt you would enjoy it as much as the ladies. It was very Disney-princess. I liked LEGO a lot more.

I'm not particularly ~yay princess~ (as you guys have surely noticed) but I think overall I liked Frozen a little more, just because it didn't feel the need to punch me in the face with its MESSAGE. On the other hand, I only liked two of Frozen's songs. I liked all of The LEGO Movie's songs!

They dropped the ball with the message portion of the movie, it broke the flow and broke the fun.  But aside from the one (major) speedbump, the rest of the movie was fantastic.

I disagree but mainly because that particular father/son interaction hit me right in the feels both directions (i.e with my dad and with my son).

I don't really object to its presence, but it felt like it dragged on longer than it needed to. (Which is weird given the movie was only 90 minutes.)

I utterly disliked the real world portion of the movie.  It took me out of the story they were telling me, and didn't add anything to the experience.

Plus, Will Ferrell.  Ew.

I thought Frozen was eh (other than Let It Go, which I.  Cannot. Stop. Singing.  (Please help me.))
