Could be good. BSG had all the trappings of a fuck up too but turned out pretty good (well season 1 - the rest is up for debate).

Not saying will be good. There are a lot of things they could do to stuff it up.  Maybe the can pick up where the US Life on Mars cast left off after the abortive wrap up to that series.  Maybe cast a bunch of bright young things.

I agree with Haem.

Shitshow from go.

Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something.  We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail

Don't really know enough about who's behind it to tell, but I'm gonna say that since it's SyFylitic it's... yeah... not looking good. They'll fuck up Avon for sure.

Show only was good....

and they will never do that on a US network.

It will be all be someone's in Love, someone was in Love, someone loves God, someone was in Love with God but now they're not sure... interspersed with lots of New Dr.Who emo-style scream acting, space opera violence and CGI.   Dreck.

Much as I would like to see this work, I can't see it happening.

Cally, Jenna and Gan are do-able. Orac and Zen can be done (Zen being #7).

Tarrent and Soolin are doable if they try the arc on Slave.

Servelan... might be doable but I doubt it.

Travis and Blake... getting into tough territory here - they need to be dark characters.

Avon and Vila - I sincerely doubt they pull those characters off - those two and Servelan made the show.

Don't fuck with the Liberator design - it was iconic. When they moved to Slave it didn't quite work as well.

What's next? Babylon 5?

Yeah the Tripods terrified me too.

I'm looking forward to at least seeing what they do with Blakes 7. Martin Campbell directed Casino Royale so he must have some talent (not that I thought Goldeneye was a bad Bond film personally).

It's sort of funny that Syfy is remaking Blake's 7 when they already remade Blake's 7 and called it Farscape.

That's like calling Game of thrones a remake of Spartacus.
