The sound and visuals in this movie were great. The actors looked awesome, and acted well. It's just that everything they said was stupid. The plot was stupid. It's like 2 hours long of just nothing, and then have a BBQ on the lake.
Dumb.

For the Record, that house by the lake was awesome, so was the sky pool.

I got the DVD yesterday and watched about half of it. I'm not completely disgusted so far. I plan to finish it up tonight.

It was pretty, and it was sifi, nearly Heinlein. But completely forgettable and completely standard scenes from beginning to end.
So essentially you're saying an artistically striking, purest sci-fi, henleinesque film is completely forgettable and standard?

We just watched it. Dumb, predictable, nice-looking, basically a big pile of air pudding and SF cliches. Not odious, not painful, competently done but totally 100% made of meh.
Was annoyed that

I watched this last night and quite enjoyed it. Utterly predictable yet something about it was a joy to watch. It's not the kind of movie I'd watch again and again or anything but I don't regret watching it all. 100000X better than Prometheus but then again, Damon Lindledorf didn't touch the script and that alone explains the difference.

But yeah, just saw this on my flight to Dubai. Agree with what everybody said, very meh. I had a shity small screen with massive glare on it, so I didn't even get to enjoy the visuals (I pretty much couldn't even see what was happening on screen during that pool sequence for instance). Wasn't bad....just could have been way better. The plot twist was televised so much it was painfull.

This is a 100% accurate review. So bored of these huge budget Hollywood films made entirely of yawn. I'm gonna go watch Upstream Colour again.

Sniper Jamie Lanister was suitably badass but there wasn't enough of him. Otherwise agree with the sentiment that it was a nicely put together mish-mash of sci-fi cliche.

Are we spoilering a movie out on DVD? I kinda consider that the end of spoiler grace, but whatevs.
