Active account holders can invite three friends to play.

I still haven't played this, but I'm open to suggestion  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

Ooh. Hope they'll still be doing that when the game goes live on Mac. I have a friend who's desperate to play but won't dual-boot her machine.

They have a Mac client already.

So this particular Refer a Friend program is apparently limited to just this weekend for the new patch event, not an anytime trial.

Ohhhhh, I see.  Ah well, would still love to try it out.  Apparently they'll be shedding some more light on the details today.

Yea I've heard this a few times lately, poeple not realizing there's been a Mac client for awhile. People shouldn't be confused by the "beta" tag. It's as stable as the PC one as far as I've found. Or, it's as much a technical beta as Gmail was for the years it had the beta tag  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

Thanks for what? There appears to be no reward for inviting people?

Oh derp, you want an invite. I can send you one if you want.

Yea, so wait a sec: how does one launch a Refer a Friend program without incentifying the current players to refer a friend? Seriously, not even like an Achievement or a Black Lion Key? Nothing??

Pretty sure the message on the loading screen had something about getting a bonus chest if your trials subscribe.

I stand corrected anyway. If the free-trial user "upgrades" to the full account they get a "bonus Booster Multipack, a handy in-game item packed with consumable boosters that will give your character an edge!". So there isn't an incentive for convincing friends to sign up.
