The main season is finally over and so it's time to find out which of the also-rans sucks the least.

As we have ten teams in the failoffs, it will be run as an open league with externally seeded games according to a Swiss system. This means that you will be told who your next opponent is based on my extremely scientific algorithm. It's super scientific. There will be three games in total and as there's no knockout everyone will get three games. The player with the most points is the winner with ties broken as for the main league (Head to Head >> TD Difference >> TDs for >> Worst TV).

As this is an open league I can't reset games that have become b0rked therefore - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT - if your opponent disconnects and doesn't come back in then you MUST alt-f4 to crash your client. This will annul the game and you will be able to play it again. Otherwise the player who's left in the game will get a default win and I can't change that. On the plus side, you won't need me to validate your games so can spend all those lovely SPPs as soon as the game is done.

The following players should join the f13 Season 6 Failoffs league that has the password fearchange:
Haemish
Satael
Ironwood
Luckton
Sir T
Reborne
Falconeer
Bann
Gruntle
Ericswiftblade

I will randomly draw players for the first round (avoiding matches from players in the same division where possible) then draws for subsequent days will be randomly drawn with winners playing winners and so on.

Go to the league, select your team from the drop down at the bottom and then the quit league button will appear.

Sorry for holding things up.
With the delay after the last round I stopped checking as often and suddenly it's been over a week.

I've applied now.

Ok, so we finally have Ironwood signed up and Bann has decided not to participate further so my bodge for the failoffs is going to have to be bodged further still.

We'll do the initial plan of 3 matches in an open format except that one lucky person per round will get a bye.

So, the seeding for round one is as follows:

Ironwood v Reborne
Gruntle v HaemishM
Falconeer v EricSwiftblade
SirT v Satael
Luckton - Bye.

Get playing. Remember that this is an open league so I cannot alter results or cancel games once the game has registered.

"Sateal" is Satael57 on steam and satael on bloodbowl.
If I'm on steam and not set to "busy" then I'm available to play (usually I'm available or will be quite quickly even if I'm playing GW2 where steam messages should reach me)

My elves last season played like they were made out of popsicle sticks and hot glue but managed to do reasonably well in the failoffs. There's always time for a turnaround!

Probably they'll just keep fucking up though.  why so serious?

The game was decided in a failoff way with a pass that should never have worked (and was actually just a desperate attempt to clear the ball from my side of the field). Do the failoff games need to be uploaded?

in less important news the rats won against the dwarves 3-1

Warp Cheese Disciples | 3 - 1 | The Pimpernels

The difference in TV meant I could afford Morg and 2 bloodweiser babes (there was no question my rats would be visiting the knocked-out box often). The disciples were also pretty broken up which meant I got 4 fodders mercenaries into this game (2 of which ended up injured by the end of the game). The dwarves won the toss and proceeded to bash down Morg, the rat ogre (who was knocked out) and the poor fodder mercenary in the line. From then on the dwarves were able to score without serious opposition which lead to an early td (by dwarf standards) that allowed the rats to equalize before the halftime. The only interesting point of the first half was the lone stormvermin (other was missing the game due to being bashed in the previous game) getting killed though the apothecary managed to save the poor rat (just a broken neck for -1 AGI and missed next game). Second half began with the rats going for a relatively fast td despite trying to delay it to shorten the dwarves' inevitable grind towards the equalizing td. While the game was set to become a 2-2 tie a single failed catch by the dwarves followed by an unbelievable display of luck skill by the gutter runners! Gwehj dodged away from a dwarf tackler and ran to pick up the ball in front of the dwarf that had failed to catch it, dodged out again and launched the ball in a desperate attempt to get it away from rats' end of the field in a great show of skill to another gutter runner further up the field who somehow managed to catch it and dodge away from a dwarf marking him and run right to the dwarves' td line! After that it was just a matter of waiting the clock to run out and putting the lucky mercenaries still on the field along with Morg into the line to be bashed by the less than happy dwarves (while the regular members of the team watched the massacre from the td line)

While the last td was pure luck and random chance (never meant it to actually work) it was (almost) offset by the 1's I rolled (9 vs SirT's 3)

it didn't help that for a little while there both sides thought they were practicing for Dancing on Ice, slipping and falling all over the place. And of course the usual unforced errors like me using the Deathroller on Morg, misreading which of them had block and selecting both down, getting the steamroller smashed into the dirt.  why so serious? Of course the rat ogre decided to recite poetry at the Dwarves a lot rather than do anything, as to be expected.

And seriously that pass was an amazing display of rattitude bullshit . It crossed the interception zones of 2 Dwarves, one of which had sure hands. I think I burned a reroll on it too. Sadly my fake beard impeded the similar attempts at Elf Bullshit on my side.

Regarding interceptions, only one of your guys can attempt the intercept and unless your guy is unmarked agi4 or better, you have to roll a 6. Sure hands doesn't affect it (catch does) and anyway you can't use a team reroll on an event already rerolled by a skill reroll.

Basically interceptions are a once in a blue moon event unless you have elves or gutter runners on hand.
