Grabbers is a comedy-horror film set in Ireland about a village plagued by Lovecraftian betentacled horrors from the sea - and the only way to survive is by getting very, very drunk. Trailer on this page http://www.rte.ie/ten/2012/0713/grabbers.html

Disclaimer: I do know the guy who wrote this so I'm already biased in favour of it.  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

I think Lanty's point was "they're Irish - when are they ever not drunk?"
