Your Favorite Cartoon Characters Reading the Star Wars Screenplay Will Blow Your Mind
George Lucas tried to improve the original Star Wars trilogy with CG enhancements, but little did he know those beloved films could be even more awesome by re-casting the leads with our favorite cartoon characters. The Powerpuff Girls' Bubbles as Darth Vader? Yes, please.

This momentous reading of the original Star Wars screenplay took place at the Emerald City Comicon in Seattle, and featured some of the most recognizable cartoon characters from voice actors like Billy West, Tara Strong, Maurice LaMarche, John DiMaggio, Kevin Conroy, Jess Harnell and Rob Paulsen. Had Lucas cast Pinky and the Brain in The Phantom Menace, maybe there wouldn't have been so much backlash.

That was hilarious.   DRILLING AND MANLINESS

Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats.

Tara Strong was a friend of a friend so I got to meet her a few times when I lived in L.A. back when she was Tara Charendoff.  She was definitely born for voice acting; she'd be doing all kinds of different voices all the time.  DRILLING AND WOMANLINESS

Over and out.

I should probably pursue that, too. Sometimes I forget what my voice sounds like, I get stuck in character voices quite often. I blame Mel Blanc.

Christopher Walken as R2D2 was funny.  The rest... not so much.
