I have a new hunter I just started...I will look you up if/when I play him. You will likely skyrocket past him though =)

Started my Undead rogue last monday; he currently 18 and just relocated to Ogrimmar to check since my Silverpine quest were starting to look a little groupy (read elite), and headed down to the Barrens and the gobllin town of Rachet.  I swear I just got like 7 quests the moment i arrived.  Neat place; just did the pirate ship at lunchtime to get my lockpicking skill up.  Interesting little bit with the giant parrot you shrink with a drug laced cracker... :)

I'm looking for folks to do Ragefire Chasm with as I have 2 quests in there now.  I did some soloing of the elite lvl 13 and 14 beasts in there, and while doable, it's dicey.  One or more folks would increase the safe margin quite a bit im thinking.

Saw a few epic items on the AH, plus Blue gear you can craft?  That was a new concept to me.  BTW, how to you valuate the gear to know whats a good deal and what a ripoff?

I have a lvl 7 undead mage as well but can;t remember his name atm. And at some point, I need to learn fishing, it just with so little downtime in this game I find it tough to conciously stop to work on my alchemy, let alone fish...

FYI- you can pick the main chest on the pirate ship nearly forever. The cursor won't show it as locked, but you can use your lockpicking skill from the task bar and then click on the chest. I went from ~90 to 165 (max for my level at the time) in about 10 minutes. It was still green at skill 165; I think it turns grey at 175.

Yea, that's the same area you fight the giant parrot in (use the cracker). I think I got my lockpicking skill up to 195 there. And for some reason, I still looted the useless shit, literally - rat shit, from the chest every time.

Recently? I started an alliance rogue to see the content on that side of the fence.

But I've got a couple horde lowbies on ER. Corven, undead rogue at lvl 6, a 5th lvl troll mage (Wujin) and a yet-to-be-played troll shaman, Mujin.

I also have gone alliance, but my main alliance char. is on Icecrown.  I like the horde looks the best, but I think the alliance areas are better overall.   I seem to find more ore on the alliance side, too.

I'm not 'going alliance'. The alliance can burn in a griffon fire. I just started a character to see some new quests.

I'm lvl 9 now.  I spent about two hours trying to do the Agamand Mills quest, where you need to bring back the owners' remains so some zombie in the inn can dance over their dead bodies.  I can't find the last of three -- the name's Thurguld or something.  Does anybody know where he is?  I suspect he's in the crypt full of "ancestors", but after spending about 10 seconds in there, I said "Oh fuck, I'm gonna die" and left my imp as bait as I ran for my undead life.  He said something along the lines of "Are you going to back me up this time?", but I was already half way to Brill.

I don't remember which one, but one of them is down over the edge of one of the hills away from the action. My rogue is in Hammerfell, so I can be in Brill in <5 minutes if you need help tonight. Holla!

That quest was a pain the first time I did it. Thurmond spawns in the northeastish area of the mills.

I love when the imp bitches about you.

Awesome, thanks for the help.  I'll look you guys up when I'm on tonight.

BTW, which auction is the neutral one?  I'm assuming my lvl is too low to get there, but I'm curious.  Also, are there any good ways of moving equipment between Alliance and Horde chars, preferably without a third party?  I planned on mailing some magic junk and flowers to my chanter alt. only to find that it's forbidden.  (I guess Alliance and Horde postmasters are KOS in the opposing post offices as well.  Is nothing sacred?)

You haven't lived until you've run a level 1 character to Gadgetzan. That's where the neutral AH is.

So, you need a Horde and an alliance alt in Gadgetzan, you need an Alliance alt in dorf town. Horde main mails much money to alt in Gadgetzan. Alliance alt in Gadgetzan auctions a scrap of leather for much gold. Horde alt buys leather. Alliance alt mails gold to other Alliance alt in main AH. Other Alliance alt buys item on Alliance AH. Alliance alt sends item to Gadgetzan Alliance alt who puts it up for mucho profit price. Horde alt buys item, and puts up scrap of leather for remainer of gold. Alliance alt pays back surplus gold by buying leather scraps. Item sent to main. Transfer complete.

Your chars are only allowed to send mail to alts in the same faction, and this probably applies to other players' chars as well.

I heard that your own chars can't bid on each others' items; guess it's not true.

Now that I know that he spawns in the north east, do you mean above ground, amounst the normal spawns?  Or do I need to go into some kind of dungeon?

Is it the area that has the "ancient" npcs?  Or is it the normail area?

Normal area.

Frankly I had no difficulty finding them. Just go around killing the undead there for cash, linen, xp, and quests. Eventually you'll find them all.

Btw, I hope you are getting first aid? It is so damn useful I'm almost ashamed I doubted its usefulness. Minizing downtime 4tw.

(btw, the crypt only has one quest for it and you will be left in no doubt when you get it, so ignore it until then)

If you follow the path from the mills to the crypt you should see the last two on the way.

I actually got two lvl 1's to Gadgetzan.  I wouldn't exactly call it living -- more like dying, over and over and over and over.  That was only to discover that you can neither bid on nor buy out your other characters' auctions.  Is this a recent change?

I've worked a Tauren Hunter up to 13 on Darkspear, but something tells me I'll end up with an alt on ER sooner or later.  Besides I always wanted to try somethin' else out.  Maybe Druid?  Shaman?  Knowing me I'll probably flip a coin a bunch until I like what I get tongue

Anyways now you basards get to put up with me too.  Lucky you eh?

That would require me to be able to pull myself away from playing after only a few hours.

Apparently it is a 'hotfix' that went in quite a while back. The folks I know who are trading cross faction are now using a friends and family for the auction bit. So much for my evil plans.

Between Shaman and Druid, I'd go Shaman. Druids are cool and have nice beast forms, but I found them somewhat slow to level outside a group. Shamen not only solo well, which is more important "For The Horde", but are the best catered for in terms of worthwhile instance drops. With the lack of higher-level priests, both shamen and druids can count on a full instance diary.

Most of the groups I'm in seem to have a shaman tanking and a shaman healing, mostly because nobody has their warrior alt levelled enough. Everybody has a warrior alt though -  all the freaking plate that keeps dropping in Azshara will probably dry up when they pass 40. Most of it is Pally crap tho.

As it so happens in making my decision between Tauren Shaman and Tauren Druid I ended up picking Undead Warlock.

I might switch though.  Can't see shit its so goddamn dark there :P

Weekends always remind me how much I dislike the 'real twenty four hour day!' crap. It's odd to be able to log in and actually see daylight in the game, some zones are annoying as hell at night. Maybe the most meaninglessly annoying thing WoW does, which is probably a good thing, I guess.

I never noticed that it had real 24 hour days.  I just figured it was always dark, gloomy, and fugly because it's the land of the dead and whatnot.

The Alliance zones are much better, visually.

I like the openness of Kalmidor, except for the additional travel time. Asthetically, though, I enjoy it. It's very bizarre at night, because the Barrens has a night sky, dark horizon, but you are in a zone of perpetual sunlightishness.

No, it was in the middle of the day.  The undead starting town was just too fucking dark to see anything.  Even when I pumped the gamma up. :(

It was a brief flashback to what an MMO with Doom 3 graphics would be like.

Do you have a beta carotene deficiency or something?   Really, even in the undead area (and I primarily play at night), I've never had a problem with it being too dark.

I try playing EQ or Dark Age a night.  Now that's some oppressive darkness.

Keep in mind I'm used to my Tauren over on Darkspear.  So it might be the transition from bright sunny fields to rotting corpselandatopia that's throwing me off.
