French artist Jean Giraud aka Moebius dies at 73.

Not sure if anyone else knows of him or cares, but I liked his style a lot.

Ah I've been meaning to make this very thread all day but not got round to it.

Such an awesome artist, I remember first seeing his stuff in Heavy Metal when I was a teenager and being completely confused and amazed by his work. Very sad that he's dead, he leaves a fantastic body of work behind him though.

I remember his work too -- RIP.

He was one of the people who helped put Hungarian animation on the map (Les Maitres du temps), so news of his death is all over the Hungarian news sites.
