Never liked this boy band's music or Davy's solo career. However, that is because it was never my cup of tea, musically speaking. They did have a huge following though, so godspeed little man.

This is sad. The Monkees was the first real music-tv show I can remember watching. "Boy Band" or not, they had some hits that are still pretty catchy today. I shall now anoy my co-workers by playing some in tribute.  *edit for bad spellings |

Loved that song. Yes, the Monkees were a formulaic band put together by record executives, but they still wrote some catchy tunes and were entertaining. Sad about his passing.
