I actually like this for the Friends list. A lot of times I may not be doing anything and not be in front of a computer. I'd like it if my friends could contact me if they wanna throw down a BB match.
Edit: Bah, got my hopes up...shit's not actually live yet; logging into the mobile client just signs you up for the beta.

I got it. I use it mainly to see if my Blood Bowl opponents have turned their status from "Away" to "Online" while I'm downstairs watching TV on the couch, instead of trudging upstairs to the PC. And if you don't want it to skullfuck your battery life, make sure when you don't need it to hit the "Menu" button and "Exit Application." If you still see the icon in the top of your Android phone, it's still making sweet sweet love to your battery.
