I was going to say no, and that made me remember: aren't the servers going down for a few hours tonight? I vaguely remember that from the head start information that the night of release was going to be a 3-6 hour downtime.

Yup... goin down, but I dont believe they've said when or for how long.  I'd assumed it'd be for most of the day.
Launch technically is tonite at 12:01am.

My plan for tabing out of my wow raid to send the foozles on slicing missions is still in full effect. It's alts, I don't have to pay attention, someone else will wipe us plenty fast swamp poop

As a matter of fact I swallowed one of these about two hours ago and the explanation is that it is, in fact, my hand.

Also: swtor.com wants me to use my authenticator code to log in. Guess I won't be surfing the site from work any time soon.

Most of my gametime is after midnite anyways.  I at the least want to gauge what the launch will be like as I do believe this game will create a lot of non-early access stragglers.  Cross thy queue fingers.

Please tell me that you're joking.  I've been playing more than I should since the early start and I'm only approaching 30.  Granted, I'm listening to the stories and wandering around a lot... and losing at Huttball.

They won't have the money to buy much, right when they log on for the first time, so you'll probably make more money anyway if you wait a couple days.  Do farm stuff for sale though, so you have a large stock.

Seven characters at 12 or higher. I'd be higher, but the wife would kill me. The eye-rolling as I played on the plane out could be heard on the ground.

Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something.  We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail

LMAO. and  DRILLING AND MANLINESS for playing on a god damn plane. That is awesome.

If I add up my toons, I would be 50 exactly... 20 16 14. And I haven't even cracked open Balmorra or Nar Shad yet. Nor do I have a republic toon. I should be good for at least 3 months!  why so serious?

But I has LVL 9 PURPZ  DRILLING AND WOMANLINESS

Level 26, only played the one character. I'm pretty slow leveling, I consider this way too fast. Want some xp locks, especially on space, FPs and pvp.

Something for you altaholics to ponder.  You open up your Legacy bar after your first character makes it to Act 1.  After that all your characters add to your Legacy XP.  It might be worth it to at least get someone that far so you'll be getting that xp going.  Not that it matters atm since you only get access to your last name, but no point in not getting a head start on it.

I have no cares available for the legacy system. I know I'll be leveling enough alts after actually getting the name, plus there's like ... nothing to the system right now anyway.

I have a 26 sage I've been duoing with Ingmar, a level 21 smuggler, and a level 12 manquisitor. I've been lazy.  why so serious?

I was under the impression the legacy system would be retroactive when they get their crap together.  So it's not?
FUUUUUUUU   Can I even add current alts to the legacy when the main gets there?

more on topic:  we dont have any london, austin, or nyc peoples curious about the launch "parties?"  cmon, I know there's a few torheads in here that want to go.

Your alts will be fine, you just won't have the xp available.  You just have to unlock it to get it rolling.

Either Spike or G4 (or both) has already jumped on the bandwagon.  They had a marathon over the weekend I believe.

It doesn't though. The time to level up, say, 5 characters to level 10 is a lot shorter than one character to level 50 (barring game breaking bugs).

So if Act 1 is immediately after the prologue (so once you get your ship), I must have missed the whole legacy thing. Or maybe I am confusing Act 1 with Chapter 1? I guess I'll try to puzzle this out in about 2 hours, 55 minutes.  awesome, for real

You don't unlock the legacy until you finish Act 1.  I'm level 31 or so and am still in Act 1.

To be fair, I've done a lot of exploring and space ship stuff, so my level is a bit higher than it should be for where I am questwise.

From what I've heard, Act 1 ends when you finish Tattooine.  I've only just started there, though, so no clue.

Unless it's different from other classes (I played SI) it ends after Alderaan.
