Awesome, this is perfect. It was an item with presence that I got and I couldn't find a single person that knew what that did.
What the hell is wrong with those people.

Yes presence can be hovered over, finding wtf power, tech, alacrity and surge do is trickier.

Probably didn't think there was a stat that only affected your companion? I didn't know that until just now.

It would have made sense if it was a companion only piece of gear.
Yeah, but i was mainly referring to the fact the stat is listed quite prominently on the character sheet, and it takes whole two seconds to find out what it does.

The idea that no one did is kinda like mental image of a bunch of guys sitting in front of a fishing rod and just stabbing each other in the eye with it. Painful Heartbreak

edit:

little bit, yes. They're included in the tooltips of the other attributes, in the lower panes.

Incidentally, that screenshot also shows the social items stat bug -- only when re-equipped it correctly notices the endurance/willpower are actually at 700+  swamp poop

Apparently, sometimes I can't see what's right in front of my face.

For all the shit the UI gets, comparing abilities is pretty awesome with the different drop-down stats and mouse-overs. Like if I'm debating a item that favors cunning or power for Mako, I can drop-down tech stats and watch the effects as I swap each out.

Now...finding what defense or shielding actually triggers on... why so serious?

Why alacrity is not haste and why expertise is resilience I don't know. If you're going to call it something else, at least don't use expertise which means an entirely different thing to a large portion of your playerbase.

As a matter of fact I swallowed one of these about two hours ago and the explanation is that it is, in fact, my hand.

What I find funny, is the folks who played DaoC all know what alacrity is.  why so serious?

Expertise is named as such because it also makes you hit people harder in pvp, not just make you more resilient.

Surge doesn't have a WoW equivalent and power is the same thing as it is in WoW.

It is a way for them to reward people in PVP without having the PVP gear turn around and unbalance PVE (in theory.)

To make PvP itemization different from PvE.

IS that a good or bad thing, that's a different debate entirely.

Is it possible to romance more than one companion? I'm finally getting decent affection levels (3k+) and I'm wondering if I have to pick one, or can I have a harem?

Most class/gender combinations only have one choice anyway. What are you playing as?

My understanding is if you romance a second companion you get a conflict dialog down the line, much like the arrangement in mass effect - and you have to pick one.

Actually, afaik retarded star wars lore would make fucking around without attachment a jedi thing, whereas sith would get jealous and throw shit at each other.

Yeah being attached the is "bad" part, so really Sith should all be in commited, loving relationships and the Jedis should all either be celibate or huge sluts.  why so serious?

Yeah but that's why actually forcing the resolution makes less sense -- way more potential for passion and drama in active, jealous and fighting triangle Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

The lack of choice is entirely in keeping with the rest of the game design.  Ohhhhh, I see.

It's Bioware.  When have they EVER let you slut around with more than one interest?  Even as far back as Baldur's Gate 1 they forced a choice.

How does reverse engineering a green you crafted to get the same blue schematic work exactly? Is it a flat % chance, does it lower if you're RE-ing a higher level item? I had the worst luck yesterday with a green mod, had to make over 20 before I got the schematic :/

Feels like a flat % somewhere in the 10-15% range. When I RE to make gear for an alt it doesn't seem to happen any faster.

It's a flat percentage, however that percentage might vary based on item level.  The mat requirements keep me from being able to do large scale tests at the higher tiers.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

Even with low materials, you can see how messed up the RE system is. There is a lvl 9 medium boot and belt that I wanted to whip to a quick purple for my agent. The boot, blam 4 or 5 greens to get a blue. A couple more to get the blue I wanted (I'm ok with multiple blue schems, though we should just get to pick which we want, gets punitive at the high end burning through blues and the longer blue queue time). Maybe three blues to get a purple and got lucky it's the right purple. Now, that's a really good outcome.

But the belt? I spent a good hour making green belts (cost 2 compounds, get 1 back with RE) without a single blue.

That's messed up and it's why I basically quit RE on higher level stuff that seemed resistent to giving me a blue.

why does space-devastate cost rage and space-sunder gives rage? Why do I need to use both skills? Do I get enough rage from damage at later levels to the point where I can press whatever I want always, so I won't need my rage generating auto-attack and space-sunder?

Space sunder should replace the loser focus builder and it pisses me off that it doesn't! I wouldn't mind the focus cost on space devastate except it has such a long stupid cooldown I can't replace slash with it completely, which I would REALLY LIKE TO DO.

Basically, JKs need some of their buttons combined, goddammit.  Heartbreak
