I am just old enough to remember watching M*A*S*H as a kid, for whatever reason his was one of my favorite characters.

(Any minute now Nebu will talk about being old enough to remember him in the Dragnet TV show.  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?)

You call it an accident. I call it justice.

Ahhh fuck. I just read something about him still going strong after all these years. He was the first real character change I encountered in a show I liked. Hated his ass at first, but I had gotten so used to Col Blake that I had no tolerance for this guy, but after that first transition season, I really grew to like this guy's character a lot more. He really made it work and gave the show a second wind - not that it needed it. However, the show did take on a more serious, rather than slap-stick routine. I never was a Dragnet fan, slightly before my time.

side note, I never liked BJ replacing Trapper... That one never sat with me.

File this under:  "He was still alive???"

I was shocked when I watched Red to find out that Ernest Borgnine was both still alive and actively working.

It's because he masturbates a lot.

He hadn't worked in a while so I didn't know he was still alive.  Hell he was actually younger than I thought.  Good run, can't be too sad.

Put me on both lists; big M.A.S.H. fan and part of the "he's still alive?" club. It will always hold a place for me as one of those shows I would sit down and watch with my parents when growing up.

Told a co-worker yesterday as he walked by. He asked me what he died of. I replied, "He was 96. Being old."

 Heartbreak

Rest in peace, Sherman.

Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something.  We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail
