Wooo, I fucking love GoG. Not many old RPGs I want to own again missing anymore. Next up - Wasteland.

Meant to ask about this yesterday. The title sounds familiar, but I never played it as far as I know. So, it's good, I take it? Is it like Star Control, or what?

I scratched that itch a while ago buying the original game in its glorious EA flatbox. And when I want to play it, emulation is the way to go. But yeah, the gog treatment for Wasteland would be nice. While a Steam treatment would be a dream. Also, fuck yeah Starflight.

Going from what I can remember from the superior Amiga version ( ), it's would be fair to call Star Control a spiritual sequel to Starflight.

Starflight provided a procedurally-generated galaxy (completely different every time) with 269 stars and somewhere over 800 random worlds to land on and explore... with a mere 640k of code. It also had a story - rather a clever one - and aliens that were actually alien.
It's the grandfather of every science fiction RPG ever made.
