Cthulu Saves the World and Breath of Death 7 for 2$

This. Motherfucking this. Do you like classic RPG's? Why don't you own this. Seriously. Buy it already.

Awesome.  Meant to buy these, but forgot about them.  I think I can break my ' no steam buying rule ' for 2 bucks.

They had me at the graphics.  Worth $2 just seeing the trailers.

NES/SNES isn't classic enough? OHH WAIT, CONSOLES.  You make me feel young.

edit: Which technically I am.  But playing LoL makes me feel OLD. SO OLD.

Is Amnesia the one that was scaring the shit out of everyone? Not a horror fan at all, but anything that creates that visceral of a reaction might be worth checking out.

Yah, that's the one.  Own it, but haven't played it myself for fear of screaming like a little girl and waking up everyone in the house.

Much like Joey and The Shining, I got to the jail levels and then put this game in the freezer.

No, seriously, it's an awesome game.  Awesome.

It's utterly horrifying.

The one big level with the pillars and canals/bridges? Masterful use of sound and lighting, furtively running from hiding spot to hiding spot.

Actually, I'm tempted to get Penumbra.

Penumbra Overture and Amnesia are quite similar, you can see how they refined the gameplay from one game to the next.

Picked up L4D2 for £5 and spent the evening having a Halloween zombie-fest with a few friends. Worth every penny!  awesome, for real

Spent ~$10 and picked up -

Painkiller Complete Pack
Ghostbusters: The Video Game
Woody Two-Legs: Attack of the Zombie Pirates
Cthulhu Saves the World & Breath od Death VII Double Pack

Pretty happy with my haul and didn't spend too much.  Pretty rare for me to hit both of those in a big Steam sale.  awesome, for real

Is Space Pirates and Zombies (SPAZ) worth picking up at $11.24 (down from $14.99)? I seem to recall that it got a mostly positive reception, but had some issues.

I'm debating buying V:tM but I really don't have the gaming time for it, and won't for the foreseeable future. And unlike some people here, I don't like amassing a vast collection of unplayed Steam games.  why so serious?

Tried out the SPAZ demo and was hooked enough to buy it. Picked up the "retro" RPGs as well...just because.

Haven't tried it myself but I have seen mostly positive comments on it...still debating it myself.  swamp poop  Although the metascore is only 74...so dunno.

For whatever reason, it reminds me of Freelancer.

Also, I should note that there's a Demo out, if you want to make sure it's to your liking.

I never played Freelancer but the combat resembles that in Star Control.

It's fairly fun. Did you ever play Space Rangers 2: Reboot? SPAZ is like that.

Just noticed that "Costume Quest" was added to the halloween specials list. It wasn't on there when it first came out. So one more purchase for the sale.

I bought it a long time back before it was on steam.  It's a very odd take on diablo, since you're basically competing against npcs.  I liked it, but never got very far in it.

Not sure if this is the place to put this, but since we are talking about Amnesia.  If you've played through at least the beginning as to avoid spoilers, I'd recommend watching day[9] stream his playthrough.  He just started.  http://www.teamliquid.net/video/streams/Day%5B9%5D

Tried Space Pirates and Zombies last night, meant to just peak at it and see what I thought.  Ended up playing for 2hrs+, should easily be worth the $10 for me.  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?
