Be sure to read up on the league's rules regarding skills.  You have a lot of leeway in skill selection, but there are still some standards that beastmen must meet when levelling up or a team could be invalidated.  Once a coach plays their oustanding game from a previous week their team's standing will be updated immediately.

League Rules

I used the official f13 rankings to arrange the calendar and was able to arrange the matches in such a way that no one plays each other twice.  Once we (hopefully) enter the second season I'll be using a different seeding method based only upon past performance within the Hooves & Horns matches.

On to the Bleat Bowl!

Lamaros and Llyse clearly have the inside track to get to the Bleat Bowl, but with some help quite a few people are still in a good position for the final match.

Triptkyon 0 - Los Stupicabras 2

This game was a tale of two halves. The first half was me making a shitton of mental mistakes that saw my extra hands guy pinned in his own half with the ball by a beastie with disturbing presence. He got blitzed, lost the ball and my feeble attempts to come back and save him failed miserably. I let myself get trapped too deep and didn't bring enough back to fix it. 1-0 score. My second drive ended in the half without any real progress being made, thanks to ice that caused too many GFI fuckups. I can blame both of them on this atrocious fucking UI that didn't warn me in anyway that I was about to need a GFI roll. Of course, the roll needed was a 3+ and I rolled a 1 both times. The second half was all about Gruntle taking the ball, forming up a seriously good cage, and my dice fucking me at the wrong times. It wasn't that my dice were so terrible, it just felt like it because it came at the absolute worst possible times. I couldn't seem to make a dent in the cage because I was constantly rerolling or failing a block that I needed to free a blitzer up. I almost managed to keep Gruntle out of the end zone for a second score, but he had too many numbers deep in my half and the numbers won out. I had to burn my apoth saving my extra arms type, and as a result, lost Tom Warrior, the level 2 block beastie to another death. What's worse is there were no level ups to compensate.

Los Stupicabras played Haemish's Triptykons and won 2-0.

Haemish was punished by a snowy first half (he received) which combined with the crappy UI caused some failed rolls at critical times and somehow i came up with an early score. Also I managed to kill 2 of his goats (one was successfully apoth'd away to a badly hurt) and generally was insanely lucky with the 1 die blocks. Finally, my foul appearance kicked in at some useful moments to stop his nicely developed block-guard advantage from gaining momentum.
In the second half the weather cleared and everything feel into place for a slow walk up that Haemish almost countered in the last moments by knocking the ball carrier down on the 15th turn, unfortunately ending up with the ball himself in the center of my cage at the goal line -- i was somehow able to knock the ball free and dodge in for a 16th turn score.

All in all a good game with a lot of unlucky breaks for Haemish (or rather the wrong dice at the wrong time).
And we both blame Cyanide's poor UI design.

I leveled one goat who grew Extra Arms (and Haemish gave me my third -AV injured goat -- so I'll soon have the only AV7 team in this league).

My way of dealing with the shitty UI has been to play like 150 hours of single player. I still fuck up, but not nearly as often now that I've kind of internalized the stuff you have to do like double checking the routes and squares it decides to blitz from, etc.

I still haven't figured out how to set the single player to anything other than 4 min turns, and being ready for the 2 min clock is the bigger problem for me (though in this game I only turned over for time running out once or twice)... So anyone know where that setting is?

That win, for the moment at least, propels Los Stupicabras into the second rank position.

Yeah but Ingmar has to beat Lamaros while still losing his other two games for me to remain there I think (or if Avaia wins at least two of his three games, or Ruvaldt or Proudft win both of their two games)...
2nd place is precarious if you've played all your games.

And there goes any bleat bowl chances I might have had (as casualties break ties right? And Lamaros is king of those) ... but I'm still in 2nd until Ingmar and Lamaros actually play.

I'll still allow matches for the next two days.  Some people (including myself) had internet connection problems and I'd like as many games to be played as possible.  After that, I may just drop any unplayed games and have the Bleat Bowl against the two highest at that moment.  Right now that would be Lamaros and Llyse since casualties break ties, but both of those teams have unplayed games.  I'd rather not give points to a team when they haven't earned them through a tie or a win; that's my reasoning for simply throwing out unplayed games and not giving anyone the points for them when determining final rankings.

If you can give me a definite time on a match we can stretch those two days out a bit.  I don't want to wait too long, but within reason I think it would be fair, and I want people to be as accommodated as possible while also sending the two teams to the Bleat Bowl that really should be there.

You've haven't updated the Haem and Gruntle match, right? Gruntle should be on 10 points I think.

I can play Ingmar... maybe sunday but probably monday my time, which is sunday over in the US.

That is correct.  Gruntle is on 10 points and still technically in 2nd place.

I may be mistaken, but I think this is the situation:
If you win or tie, Lamaros, you'll maintain second place.  If Ingmar wins he'll take second place.  Of course, I think Proudfoot, if both of his games were played, could still make a serious run at second as well, but he'd need at least a little help.  If Ingmar and Lamaros tie I still have a shot also, but I'd need to also beat Avaia.

Also, Llyse hasn't quite sewn up first place yet.  If Lamaros wins against Ingmar and Ingmar wins against me there would be a three-way tie at 12 which would be broken by casualties inflicted.  If Llyse even so much as ties against Strazos though he cements a place in the Bleat Bowl.

There will be a final cathartic bloodletting of caprican fury between the number 1 and 2 ranked teams.  It shall be known as Bleat Bowl I.

Also, I'd suggest that your high casualty rate undoubtedly has something to do with all of those wins so the two go hand in hand.

Lamaros caught me online so we played out of order:

Sheep Go To Heaven 2 - Lovers, Fighters 1

I escaped barely by the skin of my teeth on this one. First half I kicked off, it landed very deep and I was able to get some guys around behiind his line, get the ball away, and pull some bullshit dodges to score. Kicked off again and slowed him down enough to stop a score. Second half, I receive, start pushing the ball upfield, but at this point I'm slowly ending up short on dudes vs. Lamaros's more skilled guys, and decide to take a risk and push the ball a bit too far forward, he takes it away, and after many turns of punching and such gets down to the goal line and scores with 2 turns left.

So, I put 2 runners up on the line to try for some elf bullshit - one is my +move guy, one is some other random dude, and extra arm guy is back to receive the kick. Kick is very deep, I run my guys down, go back and pick up the ball and bring it forward - I don't try any GFIs as I am down to one reroll, I have another goat mid field to take a hand off, run up and throw the pass. Lamaros brackets my guys, but doesn't manage to knock down mr speed 7 and also on the followup to his failed blitz, his guy falls down on a GFI, so I have a -1 dodge followed by a +1 dodge to get to the end zone, and that's assuming I make all my hand offs and passes and catch rolls... which I do. And then I make the dodge rolls, 2-1, game over. Without having to use my last reroll, even. Last catch roll was a 5+.

Just updated everything except for casualties inflicted.  The top two teams are a mathematical lock, but for anyone wanting to continue building up their teams for next season or are just up for some good, clean Blood Bowl fun, you should still play your matches.  In fact, Llyse and Ingmar, who will eventually face off in Bleat Bowl I, both have games pending that could help them out in their upcoming match.  Hopefully Ingmar and I will get ours in later today.
