SirT, your rationale for picking Nurgle was that you were doomed to failure so you might as well fail as big as possible, and you hated both seasons of it. Now you're doing the same thing with Vampires? Seriously, man, pick an easier team to coach and get some training in the Feeder League. I'm not saying "training" as in player development, but actual coaching time behind a team that is easier to win and enjoy the game with than Nurgle. Nurgle honestly isn't a bad team, even at TV1000, but I would never advocate their use for a new coach.
In a sense I think Ingmar is right. You were clearly unhappy over the past two seasons. I, however, also think that unhappiness was a result of your being a relatively new Blood Bowl coach attempting to play the most challenging starting teams available. You might actually enjoy the game if you gave it half a chance, but with your team selection that never happens. Make a dwarf or orc team in the feeder league and give my goblins or pro elves a go. You might find that you actually can score touchdowns after all and you like doing so.

Every time someone makes a Dwarf team, an angel loses its wings.
Make an orc team. You'll be fine.

Make a dwarf team, SirT. Fuck the haters!
I would also add, when I played you and you decided to be a sport and keep paying attention even when things seemed bleak-ish, you did much better. You even scored a touchdown against me, I think? The combination of a less-finicky team plus not giving into despair immediately would go a long way for you. But if that's not really ringing your bell just thinking about it ... I dunno. Maybe take a season off. Because you did seem really unhappy. And unhappy is bad!

Rub some dirt on it, SirT, you're tough.
Don't play vampires. They are a queer lot.

What kinds of team are we missing? I probably ought to make a team sometime, and I'd just as soon take one that nobody else is using. I'm not sure what everyone's playing, but the holes I'm seeing are:
Orcs High Elf Dark Elf Necromantic Undead Vampire Khemri
Did I skip over someone?
I will for sure be playing my Dark Elves. Also SirT please please PLEASE don't play Vampires, to say they are hard to coach is an understatement. I've played with them myself and have around 2000 online games of exp behind me, I still find them realy complicated. Add in the 2min mad dash turn timer (why we cant have 4mins like every other league i dont know) and you will get quite stressed! As a previous poster said play something less complicated, Orcs, Dwarves or even Undead would be fairly straightforwards. It would be good to keep you as it is never nice to see people leave (even sky).

I'd suggest Norse of Amazons as a good team that's relatively painless to play out of the box and forgiving for less experienced coaches. I'll also be happy to play you in some friendly feeder-league games if you want to test-drive some new teams.

Ok, I'll play Orcs even though I don't like Orcs, but I am so far from a dwarf type of person (VE VILL CONQUER TEH WORLD... if we didn't die of old age every time we try and reach it...) Well the main reason is that they are one of the teams not represented in the league.
I think I'll call them the Pimpernels and colour them in pink...

4 min games take way way way too long.

4 minutes games would be hideous. I don't want to take 2 hours just to play in a loss I know is coming.

Coloring your team pink is always a good idea. And yeah, fuck four minute turns!

Also, I'd strongly recommend this line up...
4 Black Orcs 4 Blitzers 1 Thrower 2 Linemen 3 Rerolls
Later on, buy an apoth, a troll, maybe a forth reroll, and then replace players as they die or get STR injuries.

Seconded. Also don't fall into the trap of "well he's called a thrower" and try to play a heavy passing offense. He's there because he has sure hands to pick up the ball. You have the option to throw at times if you get into trouble but it is still risky on your agi 3 at best guys.

SirT you say you dont like orcs - if thats the case you may well fall out of love with them and get just as annoyed as before. What DO you enjoy doing? then maybe we could suggest a team that would suit you.
We suggest orcs because they are fairly forgiving and have high AV so you tend to keep most of your pieces in play all drive. To score with them effectivly they do require a bit of thought because the passing game is generally out. I'm not sure an AV7 team like norse or Zons would be a good idea, if everyone else was tv1000 they are fine, but with a lot of teams sporting MB/Tackle/PO freaks they wouldnt last long.
If its a flair team what about high elves? They have mainly AV8 and you can get them to something not too bad in only a few games just by passing the ball around.

Thanks to Ulysees playing me three times on the bounce tonight, i finally got Fianna Chulain down to fighting weight. I had to fire a level 4 catcher and a level 3 line-Elf with +agility to make the grade but now they are at 1290 TV with no cash on hand and eleven players on the roster.

Yeah SirT don't play orcs if you don't like them already.
Maybe give necromantic a try this weekend in the feeder league to see how they feel?
Like I said I'm happy to play games for you to get use to the feel.
Actually Bloodbowl is also like Eve that you 'should' research teams and skill builds and lineups like shipfits.
Which is why I love blood bowl so much.
The main thing is making these teams, apply for the feeder league, play matches.
Plus you might find even with all this effort you still love/hate blood bowl that weekly must play matches are just not worth it.

I would give a couple of teams a whirl in single player if nothing else, see if any of them feel fun to play. Because if you at least enjoy your team (like I love my pink mantie'd Norse), it eases the blow of losing, sometimes.

You have the option to throw at times if you get into trouble but it is still risky on your agi 3 at best guys. YOU SHUT YOUR DIRTY TRAP, DWARFBOY Chuck is a pretty decent thrower for the Tards, as long as I stuck to short passes. Actually, the problem is usually on the receiving end. Maybe hiring a couple goblins, don't they have access to agility? I was never able to develop a good receiver. As far as the advice, pretty spot-on. I went with the stock line-up listed and later bought apoth, troll, then had to scramble to keep replacing dead orcs I think I added a third lineman to have more bench, too. Even with AR8, the bench was way too small. And linemen are pretty adaptable pieces. But yeah, if you don't like orcs, don't play orcs. Just don't set yourself up to lose with something like vamps. The recommended necro choice is a good one, I had lots of fun playing them.

I will be literally on holiday from the 28th to 5th of October but am happy to play at an insane hour in the remaining time for week 1.
Still haven't decided on resting Alive not Dead for psychiatric help after being tirple silver medallists.
(They can rejoin the main league as long as they play no games after Season 4 Grand Final right?)
