They just added this on there. I <3 this game! I have no idea why but it's always been a fun thing for me to play when I'm not playing other MMOGs.

They also added a new rigging puzzle to the game now that I've downloaded it. I'm terrible at it.

I like rigging way better than sailing, so that's a nice change as far as I'm concerned.

I'm Ingmarr (get it  why so serious?) on Hunter, if anyone wants to be HEARTIES.

Whoops, only just noticed this post. I also have an fondness for Puzzle Pirates. I'm Sjofn (shock!) on Hunter.

I am also shittastic at the new rigging game. I am kinda bad at brawling, too. I also find gunnery as stressful as ever.  Heart

Count me in as a newbie.  Always heard how fun this game was, but F2P finally got me to actually try it!  Very nice little puzzle game with benefits.  I'm terrible at most everything yet.

I'm actually decent at rigging.  I figured out you do the best if you can be set up for 3 or more gems on the pulley you are on.  With that in mind, look at the next pulley and get it set up.  If you get good, you'll be 2-3 pulleys ahead of the current one each "tug."

I do well at swordfighting and boxing usually too, but finding a capt'n that wants to go out pillaging within the next 15 minutes seems to be difficult the last few play sessions I had.  They don't seem to want to leave dock without at least 15 - 20 onboard.

If you are in a hurry go for one of the really small ships, there are usually a few of those. The loot returns are better on the giant ones but they sometimes take FOR EVER to get rolling.

It has always been F2P. It's just integrated into Steam now.

Yep, captains get so pissy about waiting for people on big ships they don't realize that more people leave while they are waiting than if they would just start.

Like, 7 years ago or something. Viridian (I think it's Viridian) came out a couple years after the game started. My wife and I were playing probably 5-6 years ago, and the f2p server was out then.

*Shrug*  I didn't know it went F2P.  Having it on Steam both advertised it well and made it easy to d/l and play.  Steam is good for that for lazy people like me.  Hell, I hardly look anywhere else than Steam these days.
