Can any of you recommend one?

I suppose it could even be a 'phone app as they tend to work on tablets too, albeit to a varying degree.

I like EVE Universe for my iPhone, I wish they had a pay version with no ads though.

Thanks - I do have an iPhone, but I was hoping to get a tablet-optimised app as my eyes are crap and strain easily. Unfortunately you can't get a iPad over here for love nor money so I bought a Asus Transformer tablet. I love it (I read lots of pdf for work and usually have 4 books on the go so the thing is a god-send for me).

I checked the Android Market and there are a few Eve apps for 'phone but I'll do a more extensive trawl of the interwebz when I get home.

Aura works well for me (on a phone)

Aura works great for me on Droid for tracking skill training.

Thanks people - I'll check it out.

It's mostly skill tracking I want - Eve really bit me (again). I was waiting for SWTOR and decided to get back into Eve (as opposed to just logging in to set training) to kill time. Now I find I missed the game and I love Incarna (am I the only one?).

What's to love?  The jb nerf....lol, the failure to fix supercaps, introducing capains quarters which as they presently stand are a complete waste of coding and are causing issues with ati cards.  They made some mods and ships a bit prettier but then introduced a mechanism to eventually destroy the player economy through microtransactions.

Let me repeat....what's to love?

Well from my perspective, I'd say that I've been in/out of Eve since it started and I've never really gotten involved in corp/sov and I'm still in love with the whole "big ship" thing, so I've been skating on the surface of the expereince without feeling the depth of those parts of the game and my investment has been largely sperficial. Therefore I've not much to say about supercaps and Jump Bridges.

Regarding the CQ's, I have an ATI 6850 and it runs the game full detail, 1900x1200, high AA etc both in and out of the CQ's with zero problems (good FR and no "superheating"). I like CQ's - it adds a much needed character link for me. The character customisation is brilliant. If they can now extend this to walking through communal stations it will be great.

Well, if you love the superficial stuff that has no depth Incarana is made JUST for you then.  Ohhhhh, I see.

Maybe some kind of superficie that more people can relate to is exactly what Eve needs. The game has depth, but also a reputation to the "outsider" as incrutable and unfriendly.

Certainly my Significant Other loves the big ship pew-pew but always backed away from Eve on seeing the spreadsheet interface, window stacks and total lack of anthropomorphic shenanigans. The new character creation and CQ's changed that - or at least started the process of change and turned a passing interest to "okaaaay, let me give it a try".

The 'never stop not loading bullshit' switch that they added to the options screen is p cool.

All of this is fine, but the problem I have with this is that most of the time I'm going to just want to dock up, change the ship and undock, I don't need to walk around for that. In fact, the current interface removes a few features I desperately want back, like being able to preview which ship I'm in without having to walk over to the damn hangar, doubleclick to open the cargohold, or just changing the ship I'm in by clicking and dragging. If, on the other hand, I desire to "see" other people, fine, let me press a disembark button and experience the splendor that is CQ and the rest of the station environment. That'd be just fine for me.

There's nothing read.

I think lots of people would be interested in what is happening with the game, but not enough to play it :)

Lots of f13 still plays but summarizing what's going on is :effort:

TLDR:

* TEST told their allies to suck a lemon & btw fuck you all for fighting for our space we're sick of allies.
* Everyone dogpiles TEST in Delve.
* TEST's last friends Raiden (BoB Mk something) fail cascade.
* Despite all this TEST puts up a decent defense of their homelands but cries a whole lot about the injustice of being friendless.
* Expansion hits and Goons go from space rich to space poor.
* Mittens says "Let's take some of TESTs space which is now mega valuable!" and attacks Fountain.
* First week or so Goons attack Fountain and TEST doesn't lift a finger.
* Second week Elite PVP (PL + N3 and other bits 'n' pieces) decide to throw their lot in with TEST, probably because they rather like the idea of Goons being poor and rather covert that rich space themselves.
* Third'ish week it's tough going and we're not going to deploy caps with elite pvp salivating at the thought but so far we've still held our gains.  Need to hold out while the enemies bandwagon is at a high participation watermark and wait for the pendulum to swing back.  Tick tock...

That's recent events from my perspective.

Appreciate the post... good to see ships and forums are on fire, better than the stagnation it looked like it was heading towards.

So is this the goons vs PL fight for supremacy that will determine global dominance I wonder.

Null has been boring for a while but it's hotting up now with the new expansion and a clash of north vs south to rival the big grudge matches of old.  Maybe I should take it to the war thread.

You guys should totally all resub.

Yeah if you're toying with the idea of playing EVE then it's a great time to resub.  Loads going on with huge power shifts in nulll being decided in Fountain right now.  It's the HBC vs CFC war in all but name that was billed months ago finally coming to a head.

Already had like a week ago.  Still not sure why since I don't really have time to play right now.

Got a 5 free days thing from CCP the other day, so I've fired it up again. Having a potter, not played for over 3 years. No idea what's changed.

If, theoretically, I resubbed and was interested in joining in the f13 fun how would I go about it and who would I contact?
