Anyone moving?   Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

Also, does Bat Country have a Defiant guild up?  You know, for those of us who got screwed by the gods and went liberal with science and technology thing?

I just rolled my first characters last night and it was difficult rolling Guardians. Stupid Bat Country.

I'll at least play for a little while and wouldn't be adverse to rolling a defiant.

I really did try Guardians...all the way to level 30 with a Cleric.  Just couldn't wrap my head around the story and keep track of all the different gods, rites and practices.

Defiants are easier to get into.  "There's dragons afoot!  Get the big guns out and blow shit up!"

If you're on Reclaimer, Defiant side, I can help you out with stuff.  I'm poor though, just bought my 5th role slot for 100p.

The list of servers one can transfer to is out.

http://forums.riftgame.com/showthread.php?211683-Character-and-Guild-Transfers-%28More-details-and-info!

Edit 1: In reviewing the US Defiant availability, I guess I'll stay on Wolfsbane for now.  Dimroot and Reclaimer are both not on the list.

I play on Guardian Sunrest, which is a pvp-rp server, and also a destination server.  I like the server, although lately it seems the population has been dropping (it seems healthy still to me, though).

So if you're guardian and looking for a pvp server, it's a good one.

I give them two weeks before they say "F*** it" and either shut down servers or allow cross-shard LFD.  Would rather have the former since more cannon fodder players are nice to have for zone-wide invasions.

It looks to me more like they should have listed what few servers you can't transfer to. I'm really hoping they admit reality and merge servers. I really don't want a repeat of WoW. I thought I would really like the cross server thing, but it really spoiled the game for me. Though I admit, most of the damage is already done. But it would be nice to revitalize the invasions and such, not just the idiotic instadungeons.

I play on Faeblight and Byriel. I highly recommend Faeblight. The people are nice, queues move along well. It's an RP server. Byriel is underpopulated. I would have left except Byriel/Defiant is the gay server and my guild is probably a third of the population.

Faeblight was the server we were playing beta on until you all had to go and listen to schild. Lolx.

On the other hand, I do sometimes have to wait 10 or 15 minutes for a queue to pop on Faeblight. At 8am eastern on a Sunday morning.

Yah, it would have rocked staring at queues.   I bet they're stunning in 3D.

Might see you there - Dimroot is not working for me at all.

Thanks, I'm pretty good for stuff. Turns out the Qt3 Dropbears are also on Sunrest so that kind of clinches it.

Transferred and new name is Intisar.

My whole guild just transferred to Carrion.

Our GL clicked on a button.  I logged out of the game immediately, clicked transfer on the bottom of the char select screen, clicked Carrion from the server select (which had <FOH> tagged next to it).  Clicked play.

Character was on the new server.  Took 10 seconds.   awesome, for real

Nah that's probably going to be the only MMOG i'll play casually.  There's no point into racing in a Massive Multiplayer Online Single Player Game.

What does a higher population serve you guys?  Are you losing people and need more recruits for raiding?  My small guild is also considering a move, but we're having a tough time deciding what to do.  We have a solid 7-8 people but are getting bored with T2's and expert rifts.  After the 10 man, we will need bodies for a successful run of RoS and GSB.

Seriously, I'm interested in what someone that knows the game well would use as criteria for changing servers.  Your leadership must have considered servers carefully before the move.

We just wanted a bigger pool of potential recruits, and a good server target for xserver recruits as well.

On a similar note, do you have a good resource for server balance and population information?

I'm sure whatever information was out there last week is invalid this week.  Might be a good idea to wait a few weeks to see.

Thanks Draegan.  Any way to sort Defiant and Guardian populations?  I'm trying to find a server with a larger Guardian pop so the pvp queues as defiant are shorter.

Not really.

The way we did things was check the server forums, logging int he server and checking /who and the AH, WF and LFD queue times etc., server achievements also help a bit.

On the one hand, it was a little annoying, though barely worth remarking. Lots of kill-stealing, but most of it unintentional because there were just so many people packed in the newbie area and Silverwood. On the other hand, during the invasion events I was able to get in on some open raids that were cleaning out the Silverwood newbie area and got a corrupted currency thingy.

Also remembered that I intended (but forgot) to put two spellspun bags onto Lyrr before the transfer, so my guys are bag-bound newblers. Sucks for my gathering mage :) Ah, well. Also broke from buying my horse, so busted down to gathering burlap again.

Rasix can make bags and has left over 12 slotters in the bank.  I can send some next time I'm on.  It's never fun to fight with your inventory.
