Apparently, someone advanced the league and didn't tell anyone. Anyway...Avaia, when would you like to play? I'm EST, available all weekend I would think.

Pile of Snotlings 2 - No Ogres Allowed 1
I submitted this match, but I unfortunately put Day 5 on the date instead of Day 4. Don't know if that'll affect anything.
The first half started out badly for me, getting a lot of skulls against me. After the 5th turn, proudft scored on me and I spent the rest of the half trying vainly to get someone far enough to get a score but nothing doing. Second half was a completely different game. The second half kickoff started with a player on each side getting pounded by rocks from the crowd. From then on, I started to put snotlings down and out, and I ended the game having done 9 casualties. By the final turn, he had only 5 snotlings ont he field. Some of it was my own blocks, some were blocks that went against him and some were from missed dodges. It seemed if he had to take a 2nd half injury roll, someone was going out of the game. Though I couldn't complete a pass to save my life, it didn't matter in the second half as all the breaks went my way. Two fumbly drives full later, I had two touchdowns and the victory. Plus, I ended up getting 4 level ups and that was with my MVP not having played one turn.

Primitive Pirates over Mathematichy 2-1.
The first half we each received and scored within 4 turns, first Carnifex by taking advantage of my poor defensive positioning and opening gaping holes in my line of scrimmage, then me by overcommitting him to one side and breaking my ball carrier away - something my lizards have taught me to do well. Second half was the more interesting one; I was down to 10 players (I've been getting away without a full roster of 16 until now, but I think I'll stop pushing my luck on that) and I wanted to make the drive last as long as possible, so I decided to make like an elf, send a guy deep and try to draw out the game with passing shenanigans. It was looking like it actually had a small chance of working, but when I went to pass it up the field I tried to pass to an empty square - I figured I wasn't going to make the catch anyway, and I wanted to be sure the ball landed away from any Pirates so I could make the pickup unhindered. And even though I've done so before, I couldn't figure out how make the pass. So after dicking around with the interface for a while I gave up at the last second and just passed directly to my guy, but fumbled and ran out of time before I could click "yes" to reroll. So Carnifex knocked me over and ran it in in mundane fashion instead of getting to make an epic interception.

It's Snot a Toomah 2 - Da Skabby Skrappers 1
Usual Snotling madness, ICE's snotling with Block was undoubtedly the star of the show running around and knocking things over without falling down himself. I kicked to start and managed to stall the Toomah until late in the first half when they broke through and scored on their last turn. There was a lot of blood in the first half, to start with we were trading casualties fairly evenly then the dice started to favour ICE in armour rolls and by the end of the half I had about 6 guys in triage including two actual injuries.
For the second half we both had 12 players on the pitch somehow. I broke out down a flank and scored early to give time for a winning TD to be scored. This score was the result of a run, throw and catch play which was decidedly un-snotlingy. It worked however. We set back up and ICE still had 12 guys while I was down to 10. There was some pushing and shoving which mostly ended up with my guys getting stretchered off the pitch and ICE's guys falling down in super-slow motion onto feather pillows. I don't think I beat his armour once after about turn 12 until the very last turn of the game. He took full advantage of his widening numerical superiority and scored with two turns left to play. I figured that if I could get some receivers as far down the pitch as possible, I would have three or four guys in double GFI range of the endzone at the start of my last turn, I also had an Agi4 snotling next to the ball and plenty of rerolls. Unfortunately I only got one receiver into place as the second injured himself making a GfI and the thrower didn't have a chance to pick the ball up on my turn 15. The only Skrapper able to reach the Toomah endzone was scragged hard and from then on the game was over. I got a consolation injury in my last turn but not much else.
BB Manager says I threw 54 blocks and was successful in 18 of them while the Toomah threw 38 and were successful in 20 of theirs. I also suffered 5 turnovers to the Toomah's zero.

I went ahead and awarded the win to Strazos in our match. I have no desire to play snots any longer; the concept still pleases me, but when you have sidestep on EVERY. DAMN. PLAYER. the games just get too long. I will stick in the league and continue to forfeit, I just don't have the time for the lengthy matches. Day advanced, kill away!

Obviously we should have gone with halflings-only.
Actually you know what might be cool, is a beastman-only league, just to see the different ways people could develop their teams.

Yeah, I'd play in that league. Hell, I'll start it if no one else does.

I think halflings only would turn out even less interesting than you'd imagine - their main thing is working with 800k of inducements more matches than not.
Beastmen has potential.

Actually you know what might be cool, is a beastman-only league, just to see the different ways people could develop their teams. Yeah, like for example you could have 9 beastmen with block and mighty blow and guard, and then some guy who picks up the ball! Perhaps if you make it explicitly a mutation-skills-only league -- you can only take non-mutation skills on a double (even if you have access on a regular roll normally.) Or you can never have more non-mutation skills than you have mutation skills (so everyone gets Block second, basically.)

I like the 1:1 mutation to normal skill idea. It would help to create more variation. Under normal circumstances I would think that it would just promote the use of Claw as a first skill, but everyone in the league will be AV8 anyway so Claw won't be as natural a first skill as it would often be in that situation.
I've already made a team for the eventual league: Goat Variations.

Sorry, I've been bugging Avaia for weeks on this. Also, I'd be down for a mindless goat league.

When everyone has av8, Claw gets pushed down the priority list.

Ezrast and I just finished up a bloody 1-1 tie. I got bogged down after receiving in the first half, my opponent managed to scoop and scoot for a late TD. In the second half, I managed to get some snots behind his line and sack the carrier, though it took a number of turns to extract the ball and go for the TD. I REALLY wish I had tackle or something.
