Reborne's Wrestlers 0 - 3 Silver Horde

Was closer than the score suggests in the first half at least, but then Reborne's team suffered catastrophic armor failure at the start of the second half. 6 casualties in all among the Wrestlers,  one ogre will miss next game.

Possibly I'll do a fuller match report tomorrow but late and tired now.

Stormbringer is done for day 1 btw. Battletech and Cthulu not so much...

In today's Bonehead fueled extravaganza...

Wrestlers 0 - 3 Silver Hoard

Let me just say, ouch!

This was a late, jet lag impeded game for Eldaec and I rolled out of bed to play, so neither of us was really awake (I hate mornings)

Kick offs either hate me or love him.
Rock stuns my block Ogre straight off the bat, could be worse but still.

Game was going well, most of the first half was a big pile on just on my side of the field.
We both got our apothacaries out of the way in the first few turns because of this then proceed to not need them for the rest of the game.
The main break came when my cage collapsed because of 3 boneheads in one turn and the following turns had enough to make things hard.
The norse barreled through and eventually the ball came loose, leaving them to score on the last turn of the first half.

The start of the second half heralded a much worse fate for the Ogres as Norsemen hit them in the squishy bits and I was left with only 2 Ogres on the field.
Eldaec played it safe, mainly blitzing my snotlings to great effect (Didn't manage to get all of them though) while he ran down the field.

I believe he said that he got 3 levels out of the match.

All in all another fun game that has helped me toward the bottom of the loser bowl  awesome, for real

So, who is pulping my snotlings next?

P.S. Game uploaded, Eldaec had some issues so I tried, may be there twice now.

Due to some awesome timing by my ISP, I am out of an internet connection since last thursday. They are "looking into it". I hope to get this fixed today or tomorow, public university terminals suck (and don't have BB installed)

My ISP fucked me the same way since last Thursday night. I didn't get Internet access until just now. If I have til the 15th to get the game done, looks like it'll be this weekend before I can play.

Negative Capability 3 Slann the Mann 0.  Playing a low TV Lizardman team is harder than I thought it would be.  Having some skills, esp. block on my Saurus, would have helped, as would having my skinks learn to pick up the ball but I doubt I would have won anyway.  Ice Cream Emperor played a good game and more than deserved to win.  On an up note, none of my players were injured or killed and I may have been able to level up a Saurus.

Negative Capability 3 - 0 Slann the Mann.

The Necromantic team controlled the game throughout, thanks to a large TV (and more importantly, skills-on-players) gap that a single star Saurus could not manage to make up and -- equally crucially -- a fairly thorough blessing from Nuffle. I didn't have to spend a reroll on a single d6 roll the entire game, and Ginaz' lizards managed to roll mostly pushes all game. Ginaz played fairly well but the dice did him no favours, and exaggerated a few order-of-operation mistakes -- he also suffered more due to the 2 minute turn length, due to the more comparably difficult task of figuring out how to get decent blocks in on my 3-guard team.

And of course, despite being in control of the game, smashing skinks into the ground left and right, and applying numerous werewolf claws to various lizard scales, Negative Capability continues to be nearly-incapable of injuring anyone, except when the crowd is involved. I snuck in a late-turn injury to the Star Player but other than that it was 1 KO and a dozen stuns, with the only early-game injury delivered via sideline push-out (a badly hurt skink.) I did manage to get one of my ghouls a skill-up, finally, but as usual a zombie snagged the MVP. Hopefully this won't be another season of winning early, failing to develop at a decent rate, and getting consequently stomped due to a lack of crucial skills (hello Tackle? anyone? anywhere?) later in the season.

So is there a way to cut money that is contributing to TV? I have like 60k I don't need, and I would rather not have it inflating my TV even more. I even cut down on coaches and cheerleaders! If I didn't cut anything, I would be over 2k TV.  Ohhhhh, I see.

I don't think cash on hand contributes to TV.  If you still want to get rid of it though, use it as petty cash in an upcoming match.

Beardstorm! 2 - 7 Deadly 0 in the rematch of our opening match last season.

Very bloody game, with 3 injured dwarves and 6 injured lizards of various sizes. Don't think any permanent harm was done. I am sure Ezrast is tired of the dwarf passing game ( awesome, for real), as I managed to score on a blitzer to blitzer pass late in the first half after wrestling the ball away from a skink for something like the 3rd time, which is awfully similar to how I squeaked a tie out with him at the end of the game last season. Dwarves were helped greatly by at least two double skull/double skull type rerolls by sauri in the first half (some of those were both downs vs. dwarves with block).

3 dwarves level I believe, a lineman to 2, a runner to 3, and a troll slayer to 3.

Actually, you gave -1 AV to my only player with a doubles skill.

First half, as Ingmar says, I got hit by Nuffle pretty hard, with the very first move of the game resulting in a turnover on a 2d block. Things did not go uphill from there. The way the second half turned out was mostly my fault though; I let Ingmar tie up my sauruses on one side of the pitch with my skinks and the ball on the other side. Then it became skinks vs. dwarves fighting for the ball, and that's not a fight that goes to the lizards. I'm sure I could have handled my sauruses better (I started the half with 10 players to Ingmar's 9) but I let the game get too bashy and just got slowly crushed. So I can't really blame the dice for this one.

Skabine 2 - Necco 0.

This was a good game for the most, with a sour turn in the end. The replay is up on BB Manager.

I kicked after Avaia won the toss and got it nice and long. He hit back hard, taking one of my guys off with a KO before working his way down the field, moving from one side to the other. I went all in with a bit of a bust, blocking his advance, and he followed up by surfing one of my rats, with a KO from the crowd. I followed up by pushing a Wight off the side but the crowd couldn't hurt him for me.

With the players bunched Avaia's ball carrying wolf decided to make a run for the line, sprinting to the open side. Unfortunatly for Avaia I had a Wizard and - FINALLLY! - he delivered, knocking the wolf down and spilling the ball. I then unleashed the power of the runners, marking the ball with one, running high on the other side with another, and picking it up and throwing it down field with a third. Avaia made an attempt to get him, but the coverage on the rats was too much and I ran it in to score just before the half to make it 1 - 0.

Meanwhile I had sent the other wolf out for the game with my Rat Ogre, and surfed a Zombie (no injury sustained).

Two of my rats woke at the kickoff to help me out, but my dodging linerat had decided to sit the rest of the game out and didn't stir again.

Second half began 11 v 10 with the rats getting the kick, but a loose field and a player down bit me hard when avaia's brilliant short kick was followed up with a blitz. He ran half his team in, caged up and caught the ball with his ghoul. He then made a series of hits, running down to my endzone while I scrambled a few runners back. I got caught with my Rat Ogre at halfway with a blitzer, but managed to have enough of a defence to slow him.

And slow him I did, my wrestle runners taking down a wight attack and thinning him out, before nuffle decided to join the game and lend a hand. Avaia attacked a runner with his tackle zombie but failed to get a DD or DP result so he rerolled it... in to double skulls.

I took the turnover and made him pay hitting with some runners to clear a way before taking the ball past halfway with another. My Rat Ogre fell in with a protective screen and that was all she wrote. Ghoul and Wight down close to my endzone, with the remaining wolf down on halfway with my Rat Ogre marking him left Avaia with no chance to stop the score, and I ran it in with three turns to go.

Nuffle then had a bit of a laugh, double skulls in to double skulls after the kick-off gave me another sniff at the ball, but this time the runners couldn't make it count. Re-rolls were gone an Avaia got a nice spill from the ball when I moved my ss runner on it, while a scatter launch found its way in to his wights arms for a last attempt at a score. I manned him up well with my 10mv runner coming from half a pitch away to push the wight back and making it very hard.

Nuffle had a few more giggles, killing my SS rat momentarily before my apoth saved him, followed up by a failed dodge death to avaia's ball carrying wight as he attempted to get clear to the line. Regen failed and that was all she wrote.

I have my accurate thrower out next match but otherwise made it through. Avaia has a dead wight and a wolf to miss next match.

Dice doesn't say much. I had worse block dice, but better injury rolls, otherwise it was pretty even. Avaia just got a few of skulls at a nasty time.

banked money does, in NO WAY, affect TV. it is made up of the following:

total player cost - base cost plus skills (20tv for a normal, 30tv for a double or Av increase, 40tv for agl increase and 50tv for a str increase)
fan factor at  1 ff for 10tv
Rerolls - their base cost (what u pay for them at team creation)
Apoth @50k if you have one
any cheerleaders or assistant coaches at 10tv per 1 hired

Nice to get block on another lineorc. On the other hand, it's block on another lineorc. My goal for this season is to level up my remaining two 1st level Black Orcs (block) and I think three level 1 Blitzers (tackle x 1 and offensive skills on the other 2). At this rate, maybe I'll just build the tards around lineorcs.

On the other hand, next week is the Snooze slaughter...so I guess I'm hoping to survive the bashfest.

Dandies 1 - 1 Bell Jar

This was an odd match. We actually had to restart after 1.5 turns, as my computer was lagging like a giant piece of shit in some snowy weather (15ish second lag from a click to an action) and Falc was kind enough to go for a restart. Second time around, the opening event is a rock to Sylvia Plath, I believe his most developed player. I could hear his teeth grinding from the other side of the Atlantic.

I received and caged up just on my half of the pitch, doing a little bashing and sneaking a catcher downfield. Falc managed to pop my a few turns in, but the ball bounced into the hands of one of my blitzers right in the middle of the field, who was uncovered. I walked the blitzer upfield, stalled a turn, and scored. On my kick, I believe Falc had 4 amazons on the sideline. I popped a kick short right and lucked into a blitz. I knocked a linegirl back and put 2 people up around the ball, and marked every player he had except for his one deep amazon. We scuffled along the right side with me holding the ball for a few turns. In retrospect, I should have been more aggressive about moving the ball upfield here. On turn 7 Falc popped my ball carrier to see it bounce out of bounds... only to be deep into my half of the pitch at the feet of one of his Amazons! He scored and we finished the half, 1-1.

The second half I don't remember as much. He stared very light on players. He got the ball deepish in my pitch solo, and was snuffed out by 3 humans. I advanced up the left sideline to about midfield, and sent some more girls off. The time was getting late, so I reversed and took the ball up field. I had it maybe 5 squares from the endzone, when a supernice double block GFI 1 dice blitz sent the ball loose. I began to panic around here. I cleared the squares around the ball, and should have picked up and moved to score with 1 reroll left. Instead, I went for a 2d block on one of his girls that I thought was covering the balll, but actually wasn't. Of course, dbl skull, burning my last reroll to make it a push. I obviously fail my pickup. Falc's last turn saw 1 failed dodge attempt. He had one girl near the ball, who was pushed away. One of my blitzers scooped up the ball and ran for the endzone, needing to make one GFI roll to win. Of course he failed.  DRILLING AND MANLINESS

I sent most of the girls off at one point or another, but only one Badly Hurt, the rest were just KO's. I had one catcher get KO'd. Both squads should be at full strength next match. No levelups for me not sure about Falc.

Not much to report, Paelos did well to pressure the ball in the first half, but the Calvin's honed and jetlagged claws make the difference turfing key players giving the Necromantic team a numbers advantage.

Yep it was a good game. I played better than I thought I would completing a ridiculous pass to my lineman at one point to get out of jail. However, I can't block or dodge at this point so my team sorta sucks! Ah well, I'd like to play again with a slightly more advanced squad and no time commits.

Overall, not a bad start for a game I expected to lose.
