Worth it? I never played either, but at that price it's hard to pass up.

I wanted to play BS2, but it requires GFWL. No more, I promised myself. Great price, though. Five bones is less than a sammich.

Bioshock 1 is definitely worth it. I passed on 2 after Yahtzee said that it would ruin my memories of the first one.

I hated the demo for #1 due to respawning mobs, but at $10 for the pair I could not resist.

Has GFWL ever been stripped out of a game via patching? If so, I might look as BS2. What's the US$ price on it, btw?

I guess 75% would make up for the 75% of fun that's missing from a rather subpar on rails shooter.
Interesting story/twist and some scary ablooga blooga bits are good. Having System Shock dreams dashed, priceless.

Had 1 for probably over a year and still never played it...probably not worth picking up 2 I guess.

Wish it was your interpretation instead, though.

Yes, I hate that windows BS. I already have a steam account, why don't you just ask them?

I thought Bioshock 1 was fun, though I spent as much of the game ignoring the shooting mechanics as possible. 2 wasn't bad for the price I paid. I think it's a bit drawn out, but I definitely think both games are worth it for the price.

Couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger on 2, even at $5. Just don't see myself playing it, the first was so tepid.

Yah, I'm having a hard time even shelling out $5 for something I know I probably won't play. It has some pretty good reviews, but reviewers love anything that's pretty, tells a story, and is a rails shooter with some rpg mechanics. Having System Shock dreams dashed, priceless.
I had fun with Bioshock, but there was always the ever present feeling of just how disappointing it all was. Still, it was interesting enough to complete. Probably worth $5, but try to forget where it came from.

Probably worth $5, but try to forget where it came from. This was pretty much exactly my experience, I kept waiting for it to become system shock, and it never did.

The original for $5 is a no-brainer - decent play, interesting environment, and plot twists and turns to keep things moving along.
#2 for $5.... Well, there's far worse things to throw $5 at (personally I got my money's worth out of the opening cinematic). And while I dislike GFWL, I always play offline and it doesn't seem to mess with anything.

I had to be offline before GFWL would let me play without breaking everything.

2/10 WOULD NOT INGEST

First one was not horrible but didn't live up to Levine's ridiculous froth. Second was just boring and dumb, I did not complete it. Not even any Ayn Rand in the second, just a shitty shooter. These games have no connection whatsoever to System Shock. Girl Friend with lightsaber?

The story is only "sometimes I search the internet for funny images".
