Is there not a topic for this? Wacko. Show: ShamelessNetwork: Showtime Lead: William Macy Noteworthy: Joan Cusack, Laura Wiggins (hot! naked!) This is actually a great show about a very messed up set of families in Chicago. William Macy is awesome. Some wacky characters, good stuff. I recommend checking it out, especially if you need something to watch to make your life look good! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1586680/http://www.sho.com/site/shameless/

The original too British for Americans then eh? I've not watched any of this remake but I bet it hasn't got half the balls or bite to it that the original one has.

The original was/is much better. Also, while all the ads for the American version kept saying it was so original and new, etc, yet not once mentioned that it was a remake. Kind of reminds me of the American Being Human (at least the keeping the lid on the remake part, I've never seen either version).

Ah, US remakes. Destroying our YouTube search results, series by series, film by film. I was gonna say "what next, Skins?" but it seems it already is.

I've seen through season 4 of the UK series, and have finally seen both seasons of the US version and I have to say this is one of the few remakes that the US show is just flat out better than the UK version. It feels a little bit darker, and the changes in the story I feel were almost all improvements. Frank has more story to him, more in-depth with Monica, more showing of how the family makes the money needed to get by, shitload better sounds (seriously, the UK version sounds seem like all they could afford was a bad 70's tv series sound board or some crap), etc.
The only parts of the UK version I like more are the castings for Steve (not by much, and I really like James McAvoy), Debbie and Karen, the rest are all upgrades in the US version. While I like the casting for Steve in the Uk version more, I think he has a better story in the US version.
Most of all, I think the show just turned to crappy midday soap opera after Fiona and Steve left and isn't really worth watching after season 2, as Debbie pretty much becomes the only interesting character.

Emmy Rossum naked. That is all.

Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something. We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail
