Just wondering if anyone here has had a PS3 plugged into multiple monitors/tv screens using both, say, HDMI and Component at the same time? Does it work?

Nope, but you could do something pretty cool with the old PS2's iLink. The PS2's iLink had as far as I know, literally one use in the entire existence of the console.

You could hook up multiple PS2's with the iLink, each with its own TV and copy of Gran Turismo (both 3 and 4 supported this I think. 3 I'm pretty sure did), and have each TV be a window on your car.
