NeoGaf is also all a flutter over this show. I might need to check it out.

Whelp, I spent last week watching every episode, and now I am one with my inner pony. She is named Fluttershy and she kicks a Dragon's ass single-handed. I like it a lot better than Fosters Home (which I found dull) or the PowerPuff girls (which are just silly). Nice marketing by Hasbro to allow it to be posted on YouTube - that's really helped kick it off.

Seems like the series really ticks forum moderator's off, I've never seen such a popular meme get banned from so many message boards. The Pony Effect II and Elder Scrolls Equestria are also genius.

I'll posit that's because most forum's moderators are insecure males in their late teens/ early 20's. Homophobia runs rampant there.

I think this sums up what happened to me - it really clicked when I saw Dragonshy.

I am so sad I only come across this so close to the end of the season, it is brilliant. For the final episode, Fluttershy going all **FlutterRage** in the last episode was the highlight.

Princess Celesta is an epic troll. i guess after a 1000 years of terrible parties she knew her best student would be sure to bring all her friends to cause chaos and disaster and make it the best most talked about grand ball ever.

7 months before season 2.

Because she wants the animals to love her, of course! That's the one where they go to the palace for the big gala but nothing turns out the way they dreamed it to be.

sheepish edit: I finally caught the show last week.

I think I've found a MLP thread on every message board I visit, but the most complete one I've found with pictures and tags is on an Eve forum of all places.

CCP has announced a new screenshot of the upcoming DUST online FPS MMO. Console players are thrilled with the latest screenshots.

Appearently it's a work in progress beta video.  Pretty well animated none the less.  The combo counter also needs some work too, pretty sure there were a number of 4 or 5 hit combos in there but the most i ever saw was 2 or maybe 3 hits being counted.

I might be stupid or insane but I thought that was one of the best mash-ups I have ever seen.

Dammit, now Wired is going to make me see whether I get Hub.

What's sad is that my daughter would probably like the mashups better than the show.

As a parent I find the show pretty awesome. It tells decent stories, has characters with flaws, has a moral to each show and is entertaining enough that I will spend tv time with the boy.

Q, the Warhammer 40k Chaos god Changer of Ways, comes to Ponyville. Hilarity ensues.

This show is like reverse Twilight.  Girls love Twilight because the subject is so appealing to them it completely trumps the total lack of quality, the quality of this show completely trumps the subject making it appealing to everyone.  Plus it makes you happy inside.

I haven't shown it to a single person that wasn't hopelessly addicted to it after the first half hour.
