There might be specific circumstances where you want a wizard and you don't care what it gets the other player, that sort of thing. But for the most part you wouldn't want to, yeah.

So, that pretty much means there's almost no reason to spend cash as the higher-TV team?
Not really. You spend cash when you think that what you can buy will be more useful to you than the same amount would be to your opponent. Bribes for a Secret Weapon or a foul-oriented team is probably the most obvious example, but even a babe for a lower AV team may seem worthwhile. Of course generally the best time to spend petty cash is when your TV is moderately lower than your opponent's, but you want a higher cost item. For example, if your TV is 40 below, that 40k you get for free won't get you shit -- but if you spent 100k, then you could buy an extra apoth and your opponent would only get 60k out of it. The TV difference becomes a margin of inducement-oriented advantage -- if you're down 80k then tossing in 150k for a wizard will still only net your opponent a babe. And a wizard vs. a babe is probably a better deal than a babe vs. nothing.

If someone is using diving tackle (with the prompt on), if they select to use it on a given dodge but before the dodge reroll....how does that work? Are you forced to use it on the reroll as well, or do you have the option to see what they roll on the reroll? It only applies to one of the rolls, is my understanding, so you can't use it on the reroll. This makes using Diving Tackle on an initial dodge roll for a Dodge-skilled player something of a risk. This is not verified through actual play, though, since I have yet to play a game with a Diving Tackle player.

Cracked the rulebook the other day - this is, in fact, how it actually works.

Coincidentally it is why diving tackle is so glorious on someone who already has tackle - damn my linemen and their failure to roll doubles so far.

If they survive long enough, my runners will be amazing safeties. Does tackle work if they're simply dodging out into open space, or does it only work if they're dodging Through a TZ?

Only the former, IIRC.

Tackle stops them from using the Dodge skill if they move out of one of your tackle zones, regardless of where they're going, and also stops Dodge from making a Defender Stumbles into a Pushed. If they don't have Dodge, it does nothing.

Of course - wanted to make sure I had the synergy between Tackle and Diving Tackle understood correctly - one chance to dodge, with an option to force the dodge at -2. Now, I wonder what happens if it's a clumsy player dodging and they need a 5 or 6, roll a 6, and I elect to use Diving Tackle to bring that down to a 4...6's usually auto-succeed, but I'm bringing it down after the roll...still SOL? Also, because I never really looked, but does tackle both negate dodge AND the +1 that goes with any dodge (even if the player lacks the skill). Pretty amazing that I'm waiting until halfway through season 3 to ask these questions.

Yeah the 6 will always work regardless. Tackle doesn't stop them getting their +1 on the agi roll, that's just for dodging, not from Dodge with a Capital D.

Also, Tackle cancels the free reroll from Dodge, but it doesn't prevent the coach from using a team reroll instead. Dodge is useful for making multiple dodges, less important (but still helpful) dodges, or important dodges when you are out of rerolls -- but it doesn't make you any more likely to succeed at a crucial dodge when you have a reroll to spend anyways.

It's more helpful for not being knocked down than for movement in a lot of cases, yeah.

For whatever reason, stupid BBL is not updating, so I cannot go and look at up-to-date team and league stats.

5 dead in one game. Five. Not even snotlings or skinks or goblins - Skaven. Including a block rat ogre and a blitzer. Just... bizzare. And one of those deaths was apothed... to dead...

I've had the dead to dead happen, it is always sad when that happens. Makes you wonder what you pay the bastard for!

According to various cyanide threads, and every BB strategy site, diving tackle modifiers do apply to rerolls if used on the first roll.
Sequence is...
First roll. Choose whether to apply DT (you'd only do it if it would cause a turnover ofc) If failed decide whether to reroll. Roll reroll. Apply DT if already used or choose whether to use it if not used yet.

What's the deal with mighty blow? I thought to added to armor rolls, but I'm reading the log here and it is only getting added to injury rolls...

We figured it out in another thread, it only shows in the log as adding to the armor roll if you needed it to break armor, if you break armor by more than the needed amount it adds to the injury roll, if you didn't come within 1 it doesn't show at all.
