That's Patton Oswalt making a cameo on Reno 911. Funny, but not real.

I really wish the full run of The State would come out on DVD (precurser to Viva Variety, which was the precurser to Reno 911).

They've done a couple of other skits with that D&D group on Reno 911, too.

The only thing I don't like about that scene is that they're fucking up the continuity of the show. It's been demonstrated in past episodes that Garcia can't shoot for shit. Yet here he plugs the guy in the leg no sweat.
Other than that, it's a goddamned great show. I especially liked the one with Constable Smiley, their British exchange officer who proceeds to kick the shit out of every speeder he pulls over.

He didn't shoot him, it was a trap. Do try and pay attention! ;p

Well, the guy DID have some big thighs, so I could see Garcia hitting him.
The Smiley episode was hilarious, especially the part where Smiley gets a hummer in the back seat.

The other really good one with the D&D guy was when he's going on to Williams about how he's immune to prismatic spray, and she responds by macing him.
"How about mace! You immune to that!?!"
