what is with the photo of the dude with a hole in his shirt?  The Humor is lacking for me.

It's related to 'The Situation' on the Jersey Shore...it's only worth watching if you've got brain cells to spare.

It was a toss up between this thread and the scary pictures thread, but I figured that douches are amusing enough to laugh at, if nothing else.

I'd never even heard of the Jersey Shore until the South Park episode about Jersey.

I still have not, nor ever will watch such a thing.

Over the summer I was bored and broke down enough to watch the first episode. The only bit that my mind didn't actually suppress beyond recall was when the brand new house mates decided to have a BBQ so the guys went out and filled the big, shiny new gas grill with charcoal and lit it. Needless to say hilarity ensued.

I tried watching it. 7 minutes of the first episode was more than enough for multiple lifetimes.

That's approximately 6 minutes longer than I managed.

Stef DVRs it, so I end up watching a bit of it when she does - it's funny in a jerry springer sort of way.
The episode where snookie got knocked the fuck out was pretty awesome.

^ More proof that the vast majority of this board would rather wash their eyeballs with sulfuric acid than watch 5 minutes of the show. (if we needed it)

Jersey Shore gets watched in the house? I think that explains the dog and fiance then...

Watching a four foot tall practically defenseless female get knocked out is amusing?  So, I imagine you'd find it funny if it happened to your woman?

I think your problem is thinking she is in some way human, it's a common mistake.

You mean Snooki, or Nerf's GF?

Watching a woman get knocked out makes me feel ill.  At least, if a man is the one doing it.

I have seen the video.

No woman should get punched in that manner.  Hell, I'm not sure any guy should.

Is it the one where she is at a bar bitching at some dude, or am I thinking of something else?  I'd google it, but I really don't want to see it (again).  But yeah, what Ironwood said.

Yes. The guy looks into the camera (or where the camera was) and then blasts her in the face. And yes I laff'd and yes I am a bad person for it. But this show is so far from reality and so full of no that I have never seen a full episode nor will I. I see pictures, I hear about it on the god damn news, I see commercials for it, and even with all that marketing play, I still find it no where redeeming enough to watch. It's guido porn without the copulation. No thanks to either.

I didn't laugh much.  The chap didn't even think.  He didn't even pause.  He simply lashed out with a cracker to a small womans skull.

There's pretty much a couple of names for that.

Also, a seperate thread ?  Really ?

No-one's admitting to watching this show.   why so serious?

I've watched both seasons in their entirety. It's low brow comedy at best, but a real morale booster when work brings you down.

The guy who punched her was drunk as shit and had been getting drinks from their group all night, from what I remember. As far as he knew, they got that drink for him and he was getting endlessly bitched at by a human treasure troll who would just not go away or stop getting in his face. What he did wasn't right, but I can understand how it happened. American women tend to rely too heavily on the "never hit a girl" rule, and don't realize that the guy they're doing that sort of shit has a better than even chance of coming from a part of the world where the rule is "knock that mouthy bitch out". Like that video of the american girl at a mexican resort bitching at a group of French Moroccan guys and then throwing her drink into the face of one of them. Then as he comes at her and sweeps her legs she squeels "Don't touch me, you can't touch me!" or some such nonsense. Maybe I'm just overly cautious, but regardless of who you are, expect to get punched when you start shit with obviously drunk, obviously macho guys. Double if they're arabs who only speak French. I fucking hate Americans abroad. Or more than I hate them when they're at home anyway.
