Just a warning in case there was some bizarre chance you were contemplating seeing this movie.

Don't.

That is all.

(P.S. If anyone wants me to explain why I will, but I don't think I have to.)

I don't know, the trailer actually made it look pretty creepy.  It looked like it could very well be bad, but also had the chance of being good.  What was horrible about it?

The trailer showed you all the cool things.  It's a shaky cam type of movie that's supposed to be a documentary where they tried to be the Blaire Witch Project but failed horribly.  There was no resolution, no ending, and the trailers tell a completely different story than what the movie actually is.

So if this is not like Blair Witch, does that mean it's actually scary? awesome, for real

None of what you've said would so far dissuade me from seeing it. Did you not like it because the story was different from the trailer and you weren't expecting it or because the story as told in the film wasn't well told? Do you generally dislike films with out any apparent ending/resolution (e.g. No Country For Old Men, The French Connection, The Italian Job, Picnic at Hanging Rock, Zodiac... there are more) or did it just not work?

It just didn't work.  I thought this was going to be a movie in the vein of Emily Rose or the Exorcist.  It wasn't.  It just ended and I didn't expect it to end, and it wrapped up very cheaply and wasn't clever at all. and and and

I have no problem with movies that just end.  No Country for Old Men was a great movie.

I'll spoiler the crap out of the movie then:

That's probably a terrible, poorly written description so I apologize.  I saw the movie last week and a bit of it's disjointed in my head.  But that's the general gist of it.  I was expecting a cool horror/scary movie about demons and exorcisms and attempting to defeat the demon.  I just got a shit movie that really wasn't about that.

Edit: Typos.

You got some parts of the ending wrong, unless you saw a test version or something with an alternate ending (which wouldn't surprise me as it seems commonplace for these kinds of films to shoot multiple endings).

The movie is pretty crappy, but it's worth noting that all the creepy contortionist stuff the girl does is real and not special effects.

From what I hear, the ending turned a lot of people off, so much that there were audible groans and "WHAT THE FUCK's" in the theaters.

This movie was SO bad. The shaky camera is brutal, Blair Witch and Cloverfield didn't make me feel ill, but this movie did.

It actually starts out kinda promising, but the last half and especially the last 10 minutes completely ruin anything you could have possible thought was good about it. Add the fact that I felt physically sick while watching it and there's no way I could recommend anyone watch it.

Terrible.

Have you tried the internet? It's made out of millions of people missing the point of everything and then getting angry about it

Yeah.  It was like someone punched you in the face and then laughed at you for wasting 1 hour of your life.

Heh. Kinda like the end of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Except this time it was SERIOUS.
