Man sues NCSoft for making an addicting game.

Quote
Smallwood, who did not immediately respond for comment, alleged that the company “acted negligently in failing to warn or instruct or adequately warn or instruct plaintiff and other players of Lineage II of its dangerous and defective characteristics, and of the safe and proper method of using the game.”

If only he'd read Haemish's review before he started playing, this tragedy could have been averted.

Koreans are crazy. They make crazy-ass games. I don't think it's their fault that they infect others with the crazy through those games.

MMO in general attracts a...special...crowd. I was trying to be active on Rift's forums but holy shit the community is already at nutjob phase. People moving their guild wholesale or creating guilds based on a couple lines in an interview, you can smell the desperation (or cat box).

In other news, I'm so proud of my fiancee. I was gaming all day last weekend and she called me a catass.  DRILLING AND WOMANLINESS

All I know is it patches all the fucking time and is buggy as hell.  Why would anyone even remotely care about moving there until after it goes live.  Oh yeah... that special person syndrome...

Rifts?   As in the same Pen and Paper Rifts universe as published by Palladium Games?
