Dev blog from Zulupark here:
http://www.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=781

Threadnaught with every third comment from CCP Oveur here:
http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1368315

Good luck to them, I think in time Eve will be the huge fleet game most of us hope for. Then of course instead of lag we'll complain about blobbing or overpowered supercarriers.

The only CCP patches worth anything

http://store.eveonline.com/EVE-Patches-C17.aspx   Ohhhhh, I see.

Kind of amusing that his thread to defuse threadnaughts is turning into a threadnaught. And its HIGHLY COINCIDENTAL that this happened after the other threadnaughts leaked into the press.

Haha, nice work CCP. Way to condition your playerbase to run to the media and threadnaught every time there's a problem because that's the only way you can get an answer from the devs.

What could possibly go wrong?  awesome, for real

The flipside to that of course is that there's so little going on in the MMO market these days that practically anything is news for the big portals. Most other news recently has either been about games that have been cancelled, wont be released for a long time or are changing to a F2P model, very little about games that are actually released and doing things. There's Cataclysm on the horizon but little else. No-one would care about Alganon ad D*r*k Sm*rt either if the industry was in the same state as it was 4 years ago.

What a bunch of nonsense.

H'mm what can we do about the lag?  I know we will create a dev blog about how hard it is to fix lag and not mention that our crappy design and testing processes allow us to push shitty code to live!

It's all a bunch of bullshit; they've been focused on developing their next project, not on fixing EVE lag, and now that it's apparent that EVE players only like EVE, they're trying to spin it in some way.

I don't think that the devblog comments thread will become a threadnaught, for two reasons:

1.  They're heavily moderating it (Oveur quotes and replies to posts that have been deleted from the thread already), and so CCP will remove the bulk of the hostile posts.
2.  I don't think we care anymore.

They should release an album, that was entertaining.
